IRON MAIDEN in 1981, who welcomed Bruce Dickinson and set out on the road to becoming the leader of the metal world. This is a treasured album that records their very early days. This work features two live performances. This is a rare audience recording that mainly includes the sound check of the "Ruskin Arms performance on December 23, 1981" and the bonus "Rainbow Theater performance on November 15, 1981". At that time, MAIDEN felt that Bruce had joined them, but they had not yet reached their masterpiece "The Magic Seal". In order to understand the situation, let's start by looking at the schedule at that time. 1981 (September: Diano fired → Dickinson joined) October 26-30: Italy (5 shows) ←※ KILLER TOUR WITH DICKINSON (Composing "The Magic Mark" started) November 15: Rainbow Theater show ←★Bonus of this work★ December 23: Ruskin Arms show ←★Main of this work★ 1982 February 25-March 20: UK #1 (20 shows) ←※ BEAST OVER ENGLAND (March 22nd "The Magic Mark" released) March 22nd-May 1st: Europe (35 shows) May 11th-August 22nd: North America #1 (72 shows) ←※ BEAST OVER PALLADIUM August 25th-28th: UK #2 (3 shows) ←※ BEAST OVER ENGLAND, September 1st-October 23rd: North America #2 (38 performances), November 7th-21st: Australia (10 performances), November 26th-December 10th: Japan (10 performances)This is the complete picture of the activities from Bruce's joining to "Beast On The Road", which made the new MAIDEN known all over the world. In September 1981, they joined Bruce and conducted a warm-up mini-tour in Italy. After that, they started working on "The Magic Seal" and held two secret gigs to try out new songs. As some of you may have already noticed, the main sound source of this work was recorded on the same day and at the same venue as the masterpiece "DEFINITIVE RUSKIN ARMS 1981". It's that sound check. The quality is the highest level of audience sound. The press version of "DEFINITIVE RUSKIN ARMS 1981" was about 78 minutes long for the main live performance, so the sound check was not included, but the sound itself was not lost at all. The feeling of a small club being closed off was preserved, and the silence before the audience was taken advantage of, and the live performance roared in front of you with vivid subtleties. And the content is not just a sound check. After a light sound check, "Transylvania" and "Hallowed Be Thy Name" were played in full, and then "Wrathchild" and "Phantom of The Opera" were tried out. Both were live performances in serious mode just like the main live performance, but "Hallowed Be Thy Name" is a must-listen. Since it is only a sound check, it cannot be called a "premiere", but this is the only version before "The Seal of Magic". The blues is also sung in full, and it is a very rare take where you can hear the earliest version of the super masterpiece that symbolizes IRON MAIDEN. After the sound check, the bonus recording is "Rainbow Theater Performance on November 15, 1981". This is a digest of five songs that were not performed on "DEFINITIVE RUSKIN ARMS 1981". It was recorded from the old bootleg "RAINBOW WARRIORS", and the sound is not something to be praised, but it has been mastered to make it as easy to listen to as possible. This recording is the only valuable record that conveys this live performance, and in particular, "22 Acacia Avenue" and "Children Of The Damned" are the world premieres. The intro solo of "Children Of The Damned" is also different from the finished version. On the other hand, "Twilight Zone" and "Innocent Exile" are also the last performances sung by Bruce (for now). Although it is only five songs, you can easily experience the best parts of the Rainbow Theater performance. In "DEFINITIVE RUSKIN ARMS 1981", we enjoyed the premiere of "Run To The Hills" and "The Prisoner", but in this work, we can even capture the oldest live performances of "Hallowed Be Thy Name", "22 Acacia Avenue", and "Children Of The Damned". This work and "DEFINITIVE RUSKIN ARMS 1981" can catch the early version of the great masterpiece "The Magic Seal" in one go (by the way, the title song "The Number of the Beast" premiered on the first day of "Beast On The Road". The remaining two songs, "Invaders" and "Gangland", have never been performed live). This is the subtext of the new press masterpiece, and a valuable sound check album in the IRON MAIDEN collection with little leakage. A pre-performance sound check recording of the masterpiece "DEFINITIVE RUSKIN ARMS 1981" has been released. An additional audience recording from the previous Rainbow Theatre has also been included, and you can enjoy the early version of the "Magical Seal" number.
