The masterpiece from the era of the phantom members Tony Parsons and Doug Sampson has been brushed up. The definitive CD to commemorate the 45th anniversary has been decided to be released. This work permanently preserves the "September 30, 1979 London performance". It is a legendary audience recording recorded at the famous club "Music Machine". Clive Burr and Dennis Stratton, who we know well, joined during the production of "The Iron Maiden", and before that, various members were mixed. This work is an early super-famous recording that is called "the best masterpiece before Clive / Dennis". The first appearance board "ZODIAC 329" six years ago was sold out and discontinued in a flash, but this time it is an upgraded version to commemorate the 45th anniversary with even more perfection. To talk about such a work, the history of IRON MAIDEN's very early days is indispensable. First, let's take a rough overview of the journey from the formation to "The Iron Maiden". December 25, 1975: IRON MAIDEN formed May 1, 1976 - December 21, 1976 (40 shows) January 1, 1977 - November 5, 1977 (40 shows) February 17, 1978: Bridge House show {March: Dave Murray returns} April 6 - July 14, 1979 (4 shows) {November: Paul Di'Anno joins} December 31: Ruskin Arms show February 15, 1979 - December 22, 1979 (89 shows) ←★here★ {December: Production of "Iron Maiden" begins} The best recordings that convey the phantom members' era before their debut This is IRON MAIDEN from 1975 to 1979. It's impossible to write down all the detailed member changes, so I've omitted them as much as possible and focused only on the joining points of important figures Dave Murray and Paul Di'Anno. The "core trio" including Steve Harris was reunited in November 1979. They held one live show on New Year's Eve and produced "THE SOUNDHOUSE TAPES", and from 1979 they began to fully engage in activities. Around this time, solid official and unofficial recordings began to be left behind (before this, they were only fragmentary). This is a good opportunity to organize them here. ★★Ichiran recordings from 1978 and 1979★★December 31st, 1978 - "THE SOUNDHOUSE TAPES" 1979 (Paul Cairns replaced by Tony Parsons) *September 10th: Music Machine *September 30th: Music Machine ←★Here★ *October 5th: Ruskin Arms) *November 14th: Appearance on "FRIDAY ROCK SHOW" *November "METAL FOR MUTHAS" (Parsons leaves the band) *November "Burning Ambition" (Sampson leaves the band and Dennis & Clive join) ...and so it is. It is roughly divided into "official soundboard" and "audience recording", and the former (THE SOUNDHOUSE TAPES / METAL FOR MUTHAS / FRIDAY ROCK SHOW / Burning Ambition) can all be heard on "ULTIMATE RARE TRACKS: PAUL DI'ANNO YEARS". However, these official takes are only on a song-by-song basis. Only audience recordings are available to listen to the entire live performance, and only three types (marked with "*" above) are known at this time. And the highest quality of the three is the "September 30th" recording. In other words, this is the work (by the way, the remaining September 10th / October 5th can be enjoyed on the gift board "THE EARLIEST DAYS 1979". Moreover, this recording is rare. It is less well known because it was the last of the three to be excavated, and the date is similar to "September 10th" of the same "Music Machine", so it is often confused. Of course, the contents and sounds are completely different, and only collectors who have carefully organized their records have been able to enjoy the "best recording of 1979". The introduction to the 45th anniversary decisive edition, which eliminated the sense of incongruity at once, has been long, but here is the main topic. This work is the highest peak update of such a valuable live album. The previous edition "ZODIAC Returning to the original master of "329", they polished it up and achieved even greater perfection. Various treatments have been applied, but there are two major points. One is "beauty of sound". At first glance, it doesn't seem to have been a big change, but the accuracy of small deterioration and noise has been improved. An easy example is the opening "Wrathchild". On the previous version, there was a dent due to tape deterioration at about the 1.5 minute mark, but this work is beautiful and has a seamless listening experience as if there was no deterioration to begin with. Even more important is the "complementary part". In fact, there is a recording gap in the middle of "Running Free" and "Iron Maiden" that seems to be due to a tape change. Since there is no other recording on the same day, the previous version "ZODIAC In "329", it was supplemented with "September 10th". "September 10th" was chosen because it was the same "Music Machine", but in fact the sound was quite different. Some people who listened to the previous version may have been surprised by the sudden change to a thin sound at these two points. This work is the definitive version because it has eliminated that sense of incongruity. It was supplemented with another sponsored "October 5th" sound source. In fact, the "October 5th" sound source is not as high quality as the main sound source, but the feel is quite close only in this part. Of course, the mastering was also reconnected as close as possible, and as a result, it has been reborn as a natural live album that you can hardly feel the change in the sound source! IRON MAIDEN just before their debut, which had a strong basement smell like NWOBHM. This work is the highest peak update of the best recording that allows you to experience a live performance of Tony Parsons & Doug Sampson era different from "Iron Maiden". Legendary audience recording of "Music Machine performance on September 30, 1979". Illusion member: The highest peak update that polished up the best recording of the Tony Parsons & Doug Sampson era. The sound has also improved, but the biggest thing is the two recording omission points. It is patched with a recording of "October 5, 1979" different from the previous release "ZODIAC 329" that was first released, and a seamless live album with almost no sense of incongruity has been realized.
