A very special Italian tour right after Bruce Dickinson joined. The 2CD "KILLER GIG WITH DICKINSON" is the definitive album that is the pinnacle recording. As a bonus to celebrate the birth of such a new masterpiece, we will give you a valuable video of the first day of the same Italian tour (= Bruce's first stage). First of all, let's check the dates of this Italian tour again along with the CD.・October 26, 1981 Bologna performance [This work] ・October 27, 1981 Rome performance ・October 28, 1981 Florence performance ・October 29, 1981 Padua performance ・October 30, 1981 Milan performance KILLER GIG WITH DICKINSON”...In this way, this work was filmed at “Bologna performance on October 26, 1981.” This work includes the same shooting from two masters "SOURCE 1" and "SOURCE 2", and you can witness the memorable blues first stage with 7 songs each. To be honest, the quality is what you would imagine as a "precious video". Of course, it's a much better (no comparison!) improvement from the video masters that used to come out, where people would say, "Something that looks like a member is moving...", but unfortunately, it's still at the level of a "shooting master itself". has not been reached. "SOURCE 1" has clear sound but noise appears on the screen, and "SOURCE 2" has no noise but has a rounded sound after dubbing. but! The angle makes such image quality a non-issue. A close-up (probably) audience shot from the left side of the stage (Dave Murray side). The reason I wrote "probably" is because it is too close to the stage and is extremely stable. Video cameras in 1981 were huge, and many hidden shots were taken of distant views. From close to the stage, it tends to be unstable and visibility is limited. However, in this film, which is shot from about the third row in the front, there is no attempt to hide the camera, and each member is zoomed in freely. A very close stage spreads out across your field of vision. Maybe it was a staff photo shoot to check Bruce's performance. And the performance is amazing. The Milan performance of the main press 2CD was amazing, but this work on the first day also had the blues screaming and screaming! Even with the rounded sound of “SOURCE 2,” the blues shout penetrates straight through. Even today, Bruce has a wonderful technique and a beautiful voice, but here he is a "beast", relying on his youth, his momentum, and his physical strength. What's more, it's not just a scream, the straight high notes are endlessly beautiful, and the vibrato is dynamic. Even old NWOBHM maniacs who think “Blues is limited to SAMSON” will be satisfied with the singing of this work. Of course, the video is great because you can witness not only the singing voice but also the performance. It's hard to believe that this is his first stage performance, and not only does Steve Harris look youthful, but Murray, who continues to headbang with his entire body, is extremely aggressive. It is valuable to be able to see the now deceased Clive Burr in 100% live audience footage. 2CD "KILLER GIG WITH DICKINSON" is the best performance in IRON MAIDEN's history. However, before and after watching this video, the reality of the 2CD becomes completely different. A masterpiece video that is a valuable record of Blues' first stage and will increase the imagination of the 2CD several times. Please be a witness to the monumental stage where Bruce MAIDEN took his first steps! Live at Palasport, Bologna, Italy 26th October 1981 Source 1 (25:28) 1. Purgatory 2. Wrathchild 3.
