“THE BOOK OF SOULS TOUR” has finally begun. I'm looking forward to their first performance in Japan in 8 years, which will take place in April, but the latest footage has arrived, perfect for preparing for the live show as soon as possible! This work is an audience shot taken with multiple cameras of the "February 24, 2016 Sunrise Performance", the first day of the tour. However, even though it says "multiple cameras", it is not what you would call a multi-camera. This is a compilation type that carefully selects the best shots for each song. The angle changes for each song, ranging from a close-up shot of the stage to a distant view showing the entire scene. For this reason, it is not possible to explain the quality in general, but since they are carefully selected, they are all of quite high quality. The extremely beautiful image quality that is typical of the latest digital equipment is consistent. Unfortunately, only the new song "Death Or Glory" is not included, but you can enjoy almost the entire live performance from various perspectives. And the latest live show that is attracting attention is full of the feeling of the gigantic metal monster in action. It would be pointless to refrain from giving away spoilers in this manuscript, so I'll just go into detail. Other than the unrecorded "Death Or Glory," the new songs are "If Eternity Should Fail," "Speed Of Light," and "Tears Of." A total of 6 songs: ``A Clown,'' ``The Red And The Black,'' and ``The Book Of Souls.'' ``THE BOOK OF SOULS'' was the first two-disc blockbuster in the history of IRON MAIDEN, so some people were predicting that it would be reproduced in its entirety, but unfortunately, (?) Rather, it was a regular style live show that mixed old and new. However, if you look at it from a different perspective, ``THE BOOK OF SOULS'' is a two-disc set with a total of 11 songs. The six songs are more than half of the new album, and are equivalent to one entire album. Not only the set list, but the liveliness of the performance is amazing. Bruce Dickinson was at one point suffering from cancer and couldn't even speak, but he has such an amazing singing voice that you'll forget all about that, and even if you remember it, you won't believe it! His hair has turned quite gray, but even as his rivals with whom he once competed have lowered the key, he continues to run, run wild, and sing to his fullest. His beautiful voice resonates with unwavering courage, and his lively action belies the fact that he is 57 years old and has suffered from a serious illness. The voice comes out better than the rough singing style of the late 80's. What a monster! However, it is not that this work is a “super-best historical masterpiece!”, but it is amazing that it has not lost on the first day so far. The same goes for Steve Harris, who recently celebrated his 60th birthday. He leads the new songs, which are more progressive than ever, with a pounding bass, and with his old songs, he shows off his passionate performances that you wouldn't know how many years they've been performing without the stage set. And the biggest point of interest is, of course, Eddie! Also includes the new song "The Book Of Souls", which features Eddie Chikuma, and the promised "Iron Maiden". This work has a variety of angles, but these two songs were especially shot from the front seats, so you can clearly see the interesting designs and movements! It's about a month until the long-awaited performance in Japan. There are only a few days left until we can meet them again, which we have been waiting for for eight years.
