IRON MAIDEN in 1988, who made their first appearance at the holy ground "Donington Park". The legendary masterpiece that conveys the historical stage is back! It has been decided to reissue it in a special edition that can be purchased easily. This work contains two famous records of one show. It is a 3-disc audience set with the best full recording and screen shots of the "MONSTERS OF ROCK" performance on August 20, 1988. This work is a reprint of the once acclaimed masterpiece "MONSTERS OF ROCK 1988: 25TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION". The "25TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION" was a huge 5-disc set that included even the warm-up gig, but this work has been narrowed down to a 3-disc set of only the main Donington performance, making it easier to enjoy. As you can imagine from the production of the 25th anniversary edition, this show is an important concert in MAIDEN history. It was the day they first stood at Donington, the holy land that would go on to leave many legends. It's a good opportunity, so let's look back on their Donington history with our collection. MONSTERS OF ROCK (2 times) 1988: First appearance ←★This work★ 1992 "DONINGTON LIVE 1992 (full)" DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL (5 times) 2003 2007 "DEFINITIVE CUTS 2006-2007 (full)" 2013 "SONISPHERE 2014 (3 bonus songs)" 2016 "DOWNLOAD 2016 (4 bonus songs)" 2022 "ROCK IN RIO BRASIL 2022 (4 bonus songs)" They have appeared 7 times through the former "MONSTERS OF ROCK" and the current "DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL". The band that has performed the most is SKINDRED (12 times), but IRON MAIDEN and METALLICA are still the most headliners. Moreover, MAIDEN has only ever performed as a headliner from the first to the present. This work is a set that allows you to fully enjoy the memorable first performance with the highest quality. The two records included in this work are not just for quality. Let's introduce each one individually. DISC 1-2: Super famous recording by the master "Crazy S." First up is a superb recording that allows you to fully experience the legendary stage from start to finish. It is an audience recording by the master "Crazy S.", and it is a masterpiece in his collection. After all, "1988 MOR + Crazy S." is the day when GUNS N' ROSES' super masterpiece "DON'T FUCKIN' KILL EACH OTHER" was recorded. It was recorded in the same place and with the same equipment as the legendary title called GUNS' most important work, so there's no way it can be bad. In fact, the sound has reigned as "the masterpiece of Seventh Tour Of A Seventh Tour". Currently, it is lined up with "WHITLEY BAY 1988" and is the two biggest peaks, but it has not given up the throne. The taste of the outdoors with no walls or ceilings and zero echoes is fully open, and the performance sound is clear down to the details. Of course, there is a risk that the sound will be washed away (especially the bass) due to the difficulties of the outdoors, but there is no worry about that with this work. The gallop bass, which is the key to MAIDEN, also roars comfortably. The sound depicted by such a master sound is worthy of being called a legend. The set will be described later, but not only the masterpieces but also the mood is legendary. After all, Donington on this day was a "tragic festival" that resulted in two deaths when GUNS N' ROSES appeared. Although things had calmed down considerably by the time of the final performance by MAIDEN, Bruce still called on the audience to cool down after "Wrathchild". The uneasy atmosphere of the crime scene was brought home to the audience. DVD: Complete screenshots using even the official SBD Following such a superb recording is a shocking video that serves as a "pro shot substitute"! It is a spectacular audience shot without any obstructions, but the point is the shooting technique. In fact, the on-site screen is shot with a stare, and you can see the multi-camera pro shot that was played on-site! Moreover, it is the sound that enhances the feeling of a pro shot. This show is also included in official works such as the single "The Clairvoyant" and the compilation album "BBC ARCHIVES", but this video synchronizes such an official sound board. Songs that do not have official takes are patched with the above "Crazy S." recording. Let's organize the details of which songs are sound boards here. Official soundboard used (11 songs) ・Seventh Prophecy: Moonchild / Infinite Dreams / The Clairvoyant / Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son ・Magical Seal: / The Prisoner / The Number Of The Beast / Hallowed Be Thy Name ・Others: Wrathchild (★) / The Trooper (★) / Heaven Can Wait / Iron Maiden Best Crazy S. recording used (8 songs) ・Seventh Prophecy: The Evil That Men Do / Can I Play With Madness ・Magical Seal: Run To The Hills / 22 Acacia Avenue (★) ・Others: Wasted Years / 2 Minutes To Midnight (★) / Running Free / Sanctuary *Note: The "★" mark is a song that could not be seen on the official "MAIDEN ENGLAND". ...And so it is. Just looking at the number of songs, more than half are soundboards, including the big song "Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son". Most of the songs can be enjoyed in official quality (even the remaining eight songs, "Crazy S." recordings, are amazing because there is no disappointment even when they are switched to the official soundboard). Bruce Dickinson's bird's-eye view as he incites the large crowd, Steve Harris's finger tricks and lyrics are also shown in close-up. Even the MC who calms the audience as mentioned above, Bruce's solemn expression and professional speech are famous scenes that are weighted more because of the video. In addition, Bruce shows his acting skills in "Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son" and "Iron Maiden", the members put their arms around each other's shoulders to confirm their feelings of "I finally stood at Donington", the finger puppet that became the source material for the official "MAIDEN ENGLAND" appears in "Sanctuary", and finally, the Donington specialty, the powerful fireworks are also recorded. There are plenty of moving scenes that can only be seen in the video. It is engraved in rock history as a "tragic festival" that even resulted in deaths, and in MAIDEN history, it was a legendary night that served as the first appearance and the final act. This is a 3-disc set that allows you to enjoy the whole story with a consistent full recording from start to finish and the best video instead of a pro shot. This is a 3-disc audience set that includes the best full recording and screen shots of the "August 20, 1988 Donington" performance. The full recording (DISC 1-2) is a cassette copy by master "Crazy S.", and is a masterpiece in his collection. The video edition (DVD) is a shocking screen shot, and the audio is synchronized with the "official soundboard + Crazy S. recording". This is a legendary title that allows you to fully experience MAIDEN's first Donington with the ultimate specification instead of a pro shot.
