Hiram was born in Sakai City, Japan, and gained popularity in the late 1970s as a member of the 24th Street Band with Will Lee and others. While active as a studio musician, he became a member of the king Miles Davis in the mid-80s. After being featured in a band, he finally made his solo debut in 1986. On the other hand, Sanborn was active in an R&B band, and in the late 1960s, he joined the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, known as the father of white blues, with drummer Chris Parker, who later became a member of the staff, and became a member of the blues world. In addition to being active in the group of Albert King, who is known as one of the three great kings along with the recently deceased B.B. King and Freddie King, he also made his solo debut in 1975 while busy with studio work. The two often met in the studio and both had their own groups, so they never formed a band together, but each often participated as members, especially in 1984, when Sanborn was at his peak. Hiram also participated in the masterpiece ``Straight to the Heart'', which was released in 2007 and made a great contribution. Around the same time, in February 1984, the rare and valuable live show featuring Hiram Bullock Band and David Sanborn was held at New York's "55 Grand" for an hour and a half. For the first time, a 2-disc set has been released that is directly recorded from an ultra-realistic high-quality master that was recorded for recording purposes by the people involved who were listening to it at the venue! The members are Hiram, Chris Hunter on saxophone, Victor Lewis on bass, Alex Blake on drums, and Sanborn. In addition to Hiram's originals, they also play Freddie Harvard's ``Straight Life'' and King Curtis' ``Ode.'' The selection includes exciting songs such as "To Billie Joe", the Mamas & Papas' "California Dreamin'", Miles' "Solar", and the Beatles' "Dear Prudence", featuring the heavy and funky rhythm section of Lewis and Blake. Hiram's sharp and sharp cutting is cool, and even in his solo, Hiram repeats thick and solid phrases using his trademark Stratocaster with a unique pickup, and the unique tone and funky sound that you can tell at first listen will make you laugh. Chris's saxophone is also groovy and fun to contrast with Sanborn's alto and Sanborn... This is a "live performance" in the real place, which you can never enjoy because studio works where freedom and play are not allowed lose half their charm. This is a HOT item that allows you to experience their true essence that can only be conveyed! Live at 55 Grand,New York City February.18.1984 1st Set Disc 1 1. Unknown Title 2. Straight Life 3.
