Hermeto Pascoal, a rare genius described by Miles Davis as "one of the most important musicians on earth," recently passed away at the age of 89. Now, for the first time, a two-disc set featuring a live performance from Pascoal's heyday in 1976 and rare rehearsal footage is available! This two-disc set features a two-and-a-half-hour performance in São Paulo in the fall of 1976, when Hermeto was at the peak of his creative potential, accompanied by an incredible lineup, completely recorded on a high-quality soundboard. It also includes three bonus tracks from a rehearsal in São Paulo on February 26th of the same year, also in high quality! The groove created by the group that constantly worked with Pascoal is something special and inimitable. Hermeto, who plays a variety of instruments, primarily keyboards and anything that makes sound, is supported by the other members of the band with miraculous, exceptional playing that combines flawless organization, bursting passion, and dazzling improvisation, whether in complex ensembles or unusual time signatures. Featuring plenty of solos from each member, the performance is truly the best in the universe! With a growing number of musicians, including Snarky Puppy, paying tribute to Hermeto, coupled with the growing trend for ensemble music, this is the music you'll want to hear right now! Don't miss this miraculous live performance, led by some of Brazil's best musicians, some of the world's most skilled instrumentalists, that condenses and compiles the achievements of Hermeto Pascoal, a living legend and rare musician beyond genius!
