Herbie & Chick's duo tour with two acoustic pianos was suddenly formed in February 1978, and the only performances were held in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Ann Arbor, San Diego, and Nippon Budokan in the United States. Two types of live performances compiled from American performances other than the performance (Harvey was with Columbia and Chick was with Polygram, so there was no duplication in the content because the two companies were affiliated with different companies) were released and became a hot topic all over the world. Needless to say, it was a monopoly. However, the Budokan performance in 1978, of course, attracted a large audience, but it turned out to be a phantom performance as there was only one performance. The following year, the first two live albums were released, and there is an anecdote that fans who later found out that such a thing had happened were shocked. However, the following year, in 1979, the two-person piano duo performed once again here in Japan with "Live Under the Sky," and many fans were stunned...This work is still passed down as a legend.
