HELLOWEEN in 1987, when Michael Kiske joined the group, released the famous album "Shugoshinden: Chapter 1" that changed the history of melodic power metal. A spectacular video that allows you to experience the scene is now available. This work was filmed at the “Tuttlingen performance on March 18, 1987.” It might be better to call it a shot of the people involved rather than the audience... It was filmed with one camera from the back of the stage, and the audio was also recorded with a microphone. Although it is classified as an audience shot, it is not a content that an ordinary audience member can take. First of all, what is surprising is the super-stunning angle. I don't know if there are stand seats at the venue, but the view that passes directly above the heads of the first-floor audience is unobstructed, and you can see as much as you want from one end of the stage to the other. Furthermore, the bold zoom zoom closes in so close that the waist-up of the members fills the screen, and the sense of stability is amazing, as if a tripod was used. Normally, when a fan takes a photo, the angle tends to get wild, saying things like, "Oh! He's playing solo!" or "This is so cool!", but in this work, the zoom itself is relaxed and smooth, and you can move it from side to side while keeping it close up. No camera shake. I'm sure he was using a tripod, but that alone doesn't explain it. There was no need to hide the camera, and they kept a firm grasp of the show's progress and captured the highlights...I can only assume that the footage was taken by someone involved with a camera set up at the venue. HELLOWEEN, who revolutionized melodic power metal and were in the midst of further growth, are portrayed in this kind of person-quality manner. This is also a good opportunity, so let's take a look back at the progress we've made since 1987, when our activities rapidly accelerated after joining Kisku. 《February “Shugoshinden: Chapter 1” released (West Germany)》 ・March 13th – May 11th: Europe #1 (40 performances) ←★Coko★《May 23rd “Shugoshinden: Chapter 1” ” Released》・May 30th: FIGHT FOR MERCY FESTIVAL・August 15th – September 5th: Europe #2 (13 performances)・September 18th – November 14th: North America (35 performances)・November 17th: Italy performance November 26th-30th: Japan (4 performances) This is HELLOWEEN in 1987. In the final version, the legendary first visit to Japan was realized, but this work is very early. ``Shugoshinden: Chapter 1'' has also been released in its home country, but it has not yet been released internationally. This was the fifth concert of "Europe #1," which was about to spread its wings from West Germany to the world. What is depicted at such a show is a utopia of melodic power metal that has evolved in leaps and bounds thanks to Kiske's singing voice. ``DUSSELDORF 1987'' is also familiar as the video immediately after Kiske joined, but this work is one week before that. They are similar but different sets, so let's compare and organize them here. Four-piece era (6 songs) Walls of Jericho: Guardians/Ride The Sky/How Many Tears Others: Judas/Cry For Freedom (★)/Victim Of Fate (★) Guardian God Legend Chapter 1: I 'm Alive/A Little Time/Future World/Twilight Of The Gods/A Tale That Wasn't Right/Halloween・Chapter 2: You Always Walk Alone (★) *Note: "★" marks are not included in "DUSSELDORF 1987" A song you can't watch. ...and it looks like this. “You Always Walk Alone” has already been performed, but the most delicious song is probably the early song sung by Kisuku. “Victim Of Fate” and “How Many Tears” could be heard in the studio re-recording or live EP, but the other four songs are extremely valuable. Although Kai Hansen's sense of urgency is good, Kiske's vocalization, which has a lot of room to the point of disgust, is overwhelming, and the sense of scale and expressiveness are on an order of magnitude. Every song makes me wonder once again how dramatic it was. In particular, Kisku's version of "Cry For Freedom" could not be seen even in "DUSSELDORF 1987", and it is truly a must-listen and must-have song. This work concludes with an interview from the valuable TV program “MUSIC BOX”. Normally, I should have devoted more time to the young Kai and Marcus, who have a bit of a convulsive rampage, and Ingo, whose beats are on the verge of thrash metal, but that's just for the fun of watching. This is a masterpiece of a video that shows the enthusiastic performance of "those five people who were like revolutionaries" from corner to corner of the screen without exception.
