Truly "orthodox heavy metal"! This is "heavy metal paradise"!! This is a 3-disc pro-shot set featuring three bands who are neither LA metal nor thrash metal, but simply hit the straight straight ball straight down the middle!!! The three "middle-of-the-middle metal" bands are Germany's HELLOWEEN, the US's ARMORED SAINT, and the UK's GRIM REAPER. All of them are famous bands that appeared in the mid-1980s and made a name for themselves with their unique heavy metal, without being eccentric. These three groups performed a joint tour in 1987 titled "HELL ON WHEELS TOUR". This work includes one of them, "October 20, 1987 Minneapolis performance". This show was filmed with a multi-camera pro shot and broadcast on television. This work is a 3-disc set that captures the broadcast in the best quality. Now, let's introduce the metal guys who gathered from all over the globe, one by one. [Disc 1: HELLOWEEN] This is a three-disc set with one pro shot for each band. The first is the very popular HELLOWEEN. Speaking of pumpkins in 1987... That's right! This is the era of the five guardians, when Michael Kiske and Kai Hansen lived together. In fact, this pro shot is famous as a representative pro shot of the Kiske & Kai era. It is a classic that has been loved by fans for a long time, such as "KEYS & TEARS". Of course, if it is of stupid quality, it will not become a classic. Although it is an analog shoot due to the era, the master freshness is outstanding. There is no dubbing deterioration or white line noise, and the glossy and beautiful color is dazzling. Kai and Kiske are drawn side by side with that visual beauty... Although there is currently a "PUMPKINS UNITED TOUR" with UNISONIC and a large gathering of past members, Kai in this work is 24 years old and Kiske is 19 years old! Of course, her hair is fluffy, and the gap between her innocent expression and her dignified singing voice is so cute. It brings back memories of the time when I was frightened and thought, "A new singer has come out!" The six songs from "Guardian Legend - Chapter 1" are performed by these two. The album was written almost entirely by Kai's pen, and the masterpiece "Halloween" is also performed. It is a superb professional shot that is a condensed version of the utopia of "Kai plays and Kiske sings". [Disc 2: ARMORED SAINT] HELLOWEEN's professional shot is famous, but ARMORED SAINT and GRIM REAPER were also broadcast on the same day. Disk 2 is the ARMORED SAINT edition. This was the end of his time on the major CHRYSALIS label, during the era of his 3rd album "RAISING FEAR". Speaking of ARMORED SAINT, their early armored live shows are an anecdote, but by this time they were showing off a light and powerful stage with leather. There is a very slight noise in the audio, but otherwise it is perfect, just like HELLOWEEN. It is great to be able to see the precious 80's performance with that quality in a multi-camera pro shot. The attention is on John Bush. The vocals required by METALLICA and ANTHRAX are hotter than the studio albums. His thick voice is wild, but his singing ability is also outstanding. It stretches well through the heavy backing, as if to say, "Heavy metal is sung like this!" Although it is a short frame of seven songs, it is a masterpiece pro shot that spreads the scent of "1987" with half of the latest work "RAISING FEAR" and the masterpiece "MARCH OF THE SAINT". [Disc 3: GRIM REAPER] The last is "the last fortress of the British Empire", GRIM REAPER. This is also a rare video that allows you to witness the era of the masterpiece "ROCK YOU TO HELL" just before the disbandment with a professional shot. This tour features the youngest heavy metal riders of the time, all of whom are fronted by famous singers. Following Michael Kiske on disc 1 and John Bush on disc 2, here comes Steve Grimmett with his heroic voice. Not only is he extremely skilled, but his hot singing that boils up the scorching metal is amazing! The true essence of this work is this atmosphere. Speaking of the "1987 metal scene", the big names OZZY OSBOURNE, JUDAS PRIEST, DIO, and IRON MAIDEN ran pop, while the new force thrash four heavenly kings released historic masterpieces. All of them were great, but the synth sounds left me feeling "this is not it" and the thrash people felt "it's great, but the melody is also...". He doesn't go for either of them, but sings bravely with skillful vocals, and yet is thoroughly metallic. This is a pro shot of the vanguard of "the middle of the road heavy metal". "HELL ON WHEELS TOUR" brings together the top bands of "the middle of the road heavy metal" from all over the world, including the continent's metal powerhouse Germany, the real America, and the original UK. It's not pop, but it's not thrash either. The passion of three young groups who were youthfully throwing out heavy metal music that can only be described as "heavy metal". Please enjoy the pro shots to your heart's content! First Avenue, Minneapolis, MN. USA 20th October 1987 PRO-SHOT Disc 1(35:36) HELLOWEEN 1. Introduction 2. Initiation 3. I'm Alive 4. Future World 5.
