This is truly gorgeous, a golden one. This is a condensed version of the best ever live in Japan from the era of the multi-platinum trilogy "HEART", "BAD ANIMALS" and "BRIGADE". Wonderful. It's just too wonderful. This work contains three performances from different years. "June 26, 1986: NHK Hall", "April 1, 1988: Yoyogi Olympic Pool", "October 5, 1990: Yoyogi Olympic Pool". Yes, this is a six-disc set that contains one Tokyo performance from each of the Japan tours of "HEART", "BAD ANIMALS" and "BRIGADE". Although it is a connection to the Tokyo performances from the big hit era, it is an unusual set, but there is a reason for this. In fact, all of this work is by the same recordist. Moreover, this person is no ordinary person. He recorded various artists and bands mainly in the 1980s, and is a legendary master who has produced a series of works that are called "Japanese famous recordings" by enthusiasts around the world, including the Stones, Eric Clapton, and Jeff Beck. This is a "golden age set" that spells out only the best recordings in that collection with the original master. Now, let's take a closer look at each performance. [Disc 1-2: 1986 (NHK Hall)] The first performance to appear is the "HEART" era's Japan visit. At this time, he toured the archipelago with a total of six performances, starting with three consecutive performances at the NHK Hall, and this work's "June 26th" is the third performance at the NHK Hall. The sound that suddenly takes your breath away when you play it is too amazing. In fact, it is an audience recording, but it is very unbelievable. The direct feeling that there is no sense of distance, the details that do not feel the venue acoustics at all, and the extremely thick core that can only be called "like a sound board". Moreover, the venue spectacle that spreads vastly without even a close conversation is ideal like a carefully mixed official board. Very rarely, you come across a recording that you would call an "official audience", and this disc is a perfect example of that. It's a really great one. The show depicted in that sound is dazzling with the shining momentum that just entered the golden age. Of course, the smash hit "HEART" is the axis, and all songs except "All Eyes" and "What He Don't Know" are performed. I'm especially happy about "Nobody Home". You can enjoy the rare numbers that are only played on this tour with the official barefoot superb sound. In addition, the past repertoire scattered there is also delicious. Since there is still neither "BAD ANIMALS" nor "BRIGADE", many past songs are played, and in this set, "Dog And Butterfly", "Bebe Le Strange", and "Allies" can only be heard in the 1986 edition. "Allies" is also the last rare song on this tour. [Disc 3-4: 1988 (Yoyogi Olympic Pool)] Next is a live album from the "BAD ANIMALS" era, two years later. The venue was the suddenly enlarged "Yoyogi Olympic Pool", and this was the third concert of the five-performance Japan tour. The "Yoyogi Olympic Pool" is incomparable to the "NHK Hall" of the 1986 edition, so I thought it would be a bit fuzzy... But this is also an "official-class audience" that is almost the same as discs 1-2! If the "NHK Hall" is 3,600 people, the "Yoyogi Olympic Pool" is 13,000 people. It's a difference of 3.6 times, but the sound is superb... In fact, there is no sense of incongruity even when playing discs 1-2 randomly. No matter how skilled he is, it is a formidable skill to not choose the venue so much. And the content of the show is just as wonderful as the 1986 edition. Another big hit, the "BAD ANIMALS" number, is a big hit... but in fact it's only five songs, half the album. It's a balance of the six "HEART" numbers, and it seems to be aiming for the "best of the two big hits". Still, "I Want You So Bad" and "Wait For An Answer" are delicious songs only for this tour. More dazzling than such a set is the performance, which is full of confidence that built a great heyday. It's great that they realized their great success not only on the charts but also around the world, and in addition to the Wilson sisters, the ensemble of Howard Reese, Denny Carmassi and Mark Andes is also ironclad. It's exactly the extreme of smooth sailing. [Disc 5-6: 1990 (Yoyogi Olympic Pool)] And the last one is the performance in Japan during the "BRIGADE" era. This is also an amazing sound. Compared to the above two performances, there is a "sense of audience" of raw applause, but the basic quality is almost the same. If I had to say, the above two performances were "spectacles of distant audiences", while this work is "the realism of becoming one of the audience". Of course, there is nothing bad about being able to understand the enthusiasm of the audience, and this is also a famous recording that far exceeds the common sense of customer records. And the show depicted in that sound is exactly the culmination of the golden age. While compactly covering the hit songs of "HEART" and "BAD ANIMALS", the axis is "BRIGADE". In addition to the nine songs of the big board, numbers such as "Stranded", "Call Of The Wild", "Fallen From Grace", "Under The Sky", "The Night", and "I Didn't Want To Need You" were only performed on this tour. Of course, the official live album "ROCK THE HOUSE LIVE!" was also released from this tour, but it is only a one-CD edited work. This work is a complete recording of the full show, and you can enjoy nine repertoires that were cut from the official version. It is truly the ultimate live in Japan. This is truly a 100% original version of the trilogy "HEART", "BAD ANIMALS" and "BRIGADE". It is a huge masterpiece that goes far beyond the collection value of the same recording artist and summarizes the "gorgeous era" in one go with the superb sound. This is a super masterpiece of HEART that cannot be better than this in both quality and volume. Please enjoy it thoroughly to your heart's content.
