This must-see live performance from the time of "DESIRE WALKS ON", which marked the first step towards returning to their roots and breaking away from the "gorgeous line" that had continued since the mid-'80s, is a must-see for fans. It features a live TV appearance in Whistler, Canada on March 18, 1994. With the release of the album "BRIGADE" in 1990 and the official live album "ROCK THE HOUSE LIVE!", which contains footage from that tour, HEART ended their "gorgeous line" that had continued since 1985 and temporarily suspended their band activities. During that time, sisters Anne and Nancy Wilson started a side project called "LOVEMONGERS" and began to explore the acoustic line that HEART had aimed for at the time of their debut. They resumed their activities as HEART again in 1993. In their 11th album, "DESIRE WALKS ON," released in the same year, they were influenced by the grunge that was popular at the time (mainly in Seattle, where they are based) and songs by outside songwriters, but overall, their style was a return to their roots, as if they were aiming for the '70s HEART. Mark Andes, the bassist who supported them in the '80s, left the band, and drummer Denny Carr-Massi joined WHITESNAKE on tour, and the band's internal structure became fluid around this time, but the Wilson sisters' colors were pushed to the forefront more. In this work, you can enjoy the performance (plus interview) from the TV show held in Whistler, Vancouver, Canada on March 18, 1994 from "DESIRE WALKS ON" with a superb multi-camera pro shot using a local TV broadcast master. This TV show in Whistler was held immediately after their visit to Japan in early March. Following an intro showing the local Vancouver and the venue, the performance started with "Back to Avalon", a new song from "DESIRE WALKS ON". The warm acoustic sound and Anne's vocals, which are as powerful as ever, will make even fans from the '70s happy, saying "This is HEART". In contrast to the flashy, large-scale stages of the '80s, the Wilson sisters' intention to return to their roots is apparent in the small venue, which is almost a studio live performance, and the homely atmosphere with the stage and audience very close to each other. After this, there is an interview (Ann and Nancy answer questions about the new work and from fans), and they perform "Dog and Butterfly" and "Cherry Blossom Road" in acoustic arrangements. Anne's emotional singing, which is exquisitely intertwined with Nancy's guitar, is wonderful! In addition, the representative '80s song "These Dreams" and "Alone" can be enjoyed with a new interpretation while making use of the original melody. The highlight of the film is the two songs in the middle, starting from "DESIRE WALKS ON". "Will You Be There", composed by Mutt Lange, and Donna Summer's cover "The Woman In Me" were also highlights of the album. The acoustic arrangement here is also wonderful to listen to. The NAZARETH cover "Love Hurts", which was also featured in their Japan tour, is also a wonderful performance with their own colors. In the second half of the video, "Dreamboat Annie" from the first album is played, and at the end, Bob Dylan's cover "Ring Them Bells" from "DESIRE WALKS ON" is played, concluding the 80-minute video in a gentle mood. This film allows you to enjoy HEART in 1994, when they had overcome the turbulent '80s and were trying to return to their original image as a band, with great sound and images. This film comes with an original menu that is only available in this film, so please take this opportunity to enjoy this must-see film for American rock fans.
