Finally, Axl Rose, Slash & Duff McKagan are coming to Japan together! It's been 23 years since they last shared the stage together in Japan, and now a live album containing the best sound from that "last night in Japan with all three of them together" is now available! That “last night” was “January 15, 1993: Tokyo Dome performance.” GUNS N' ROSES visited Japan twice for their "USE YOUR ILLUSION WORLD TOUR" and performed a total of 6 performances, all of which were held at Tokyo Dome. For those who remember those days, this may be a bit late, but since it's been 23 years, let's summarize. ・February 19, 1992: Tokyo Dome ・February 20, 1992: Tokyo Dome ・February 22, 1992: Tokyo Dome <11 months later> ・January 12, 1993: Tokyo Dome ・January 1993 14th: Tokyo Dome ・January 15, 1993: Tokyo Dome [This work] This is “USE YOUR ILLUSION JAPAN TOUR" 6 performances. This work is an audience album that records the end. And what we recorded was the famous Kinney! This recording itself was released under the title “GET IN THE RING” at the time, and is a masterpiece among the masterpieces that reigned as a representative work of the Japan tour. Of course, this work is not a remaster. This is a copy of the original master DAT x 2 that was obtained and reassembled. The quality is truly exquisite! It's clear that he's the original master, as everything between songs, waiting for the encore, the loud cheers after the show, and even the guitar of "Only Women Bleed" is recorded longer than the previous releases, but what's even more vivid is the sound. . A rich sound that could not be reproduced with the crude press technology of the time was blown out from the speakers. Of course, it was a superb sound that received exceptional and exceptional praise from that time, but what was sealed in the original DAT was far from that. The richness of the bass is incomparable, and the treble, which was a little messy, is clean and smooth. Moreover, since it is a DAT, there is almost no deterioration, and the sound of that time comes out. How was it that the technology at the time could only transfer a meager sound? This is the first time that it has become clear how rich the sound at the scene was. And what emerges even more clearly with this original DAT is the miraculous splendor of the recording itself. Speaking of Tokyo Dome in the early 1990s, it was only natural that the acoustics were terrible. Even if you were listening at the scene, you would be at the mercy of time differences and detours, and even if you recorded it with the poor equipment of the time, it would be almost impossible to record it on Matomo. How difficult it was is as proven by numerous other day recordings. However, "almost impossible" was not "absolutely impossible." Kinney Staff was the one who accomplished this difficult task. In fact, the beautiful sound of this work is super beautiful and super neat. Even the faintest reverberations are transparent, and each grain of sound is as smooth as silk. Just as I was thinking about this, Duff's bass began to roll. It's not the type that would be called "just like a sound board," but the transparent sound with zero blur and clear and vivid details is more beautiful than line recording. It's a super clear sound that you can't believe was recorded at Tokyo Dome, but the atmosphere that comes from there is definitely a big egg. Above all, the cheers were huge. I don't know the recording position, but while the super beautiful musical sounds are being heard from the front, loud cheers like the Hanshin Giants game are pushing from behind. In other words, it felt like floating in a pool of loud cheers and being showered directly with the performance. It is a live album where you can enjoy the best rock and roll of our time while immersing yourself in a huge spectacle. Enjoy the amazing “monster rock” with its ultra-clear sound! Of course, there is no burning sensation here like the first performance in Japan, but the big rock that was out of the norm even in the 90s, when the business became the most gigantic in the history of music. After this, he came to Japan many times, and each time he showed off how big he was, but he had never had this huge presence. What's more, it's definitely Slash's "that" tone and Duff's "that" beat that sounds there. And the singing voice of Axel, who was 30 years old at the time and had the whole world in the palm of his hand... It would be a lie if I said that there weren't some delicate feelings mixed in with the big family back then, but that's just how extravagant it was. Little did I know that right after this, the rock scene would rapidly turn dark... Furthermore, not only the sound but also the gorgeous guests are unique to this work. Ron Wood, who was coming to Japan solo at the time, jumped in (the last day of Ron's tour was the day before this work). He plays a wonderful solo on "Knockin' On Heaven's Door." A living legend of rock'n'roll and a monster on the verge of becoming a legend. It is a live album where you can enjoy a truly luxurious time. The show of the century will close while soaking in the afterglow after the show, which was recorded more fully than the already released “GET IN THE RIN”. The Japanese performance ended this night. They continued touring for about six months (until July) after this, and Slash and Duff left the band. GUNS N' ROSES returned less than a year after their second performance in Japan in 1992. Little did I know, it would be 23 years before I would see these three side by side again... The “last night” 23 years ago. This is the last Live in Japan where GUNS N' ROSES was like GUNS N' ROSES. A famous album of the best Kinney recordings, brought back to life with the highest quality sound that brings even the scent of the scene.Live at Tokyo Dome, Tokyo, Japan 15th January 1993 ULTIMATE SOUND(from Original Masters) Disc 1 (74:52) 01.
