A live album of "GUNS IN JAPAN's best performances" known to those in the know is now available. The famous performance is "August 18, 2002 WTC Open Air Stadium Performance". This is a superb audience album containing the Osaka performance of SUMMER SONIC 2002. This visit to Japan was part of the “CHINESE DMEOCRACY TOUR,” but the “CHINESE DMEOCRACY TOUR” itself spanned 10 years, and they came to Japan three times during that time. Let's sort it out here. ・January & December 2001: 4 performances ・August-December 2002: 23 performances ←★August visit to Japan (2 performances)★《4 years later》 ・May-December 2006: 75 performances ・2007 February & June-July: 20 performances ←★Come to Japan in July (5 performances)★ [“CHINESE DEMOCRACY” released in November 2008] ・December 2009-December 2010: 76 performances ・October-December 2011: 41 performances ←★December visit to Japan (2 performances)★ The above is “CHINESE Overview of “DMEOCRACY TOUR 2001-2011”. I visited Japan three times in 2002, 2007, and 2011 and performed 9 performances, and this work is the second performance of them. At that time, it became a hot topic because GUNS was restarting for the first time in nine years, but what was even more special was the content of the live performance itself. This night is known as a "legendary performance" even among core enthusiasts. In the case of Axl Rose, "legendary" may not mean a very good meaning, but this work definitely means a good meaning. In fact, I asked a maniac who has participated in all of the Japanese tours since his first visit to Japan, and has also attended many overseas performances, and he said, ``It's certainly amazing.I mean, I've never seen Axel as amazing as he was at this time.'' "I've never experienced this before!" he says enthusiastically. In fact, the live performance that pops out from this work is amazing! What's amazing is that Axl Rose's voice is so powerful! Even though it was a return from a long blank, it came out well and continued to grow. No matter what tone of voice you use, it stretches out comfortably, doesn't become hoarse, and has plenty of vibrato. The transition between low-pitched whispers and high-pitched long tones is smooth. At the time of his debut, people asked, "How many people are singing?" He had a chameleon voice and was so proud of his performance. Immediately after the performance begins, in “Welcome To The Jungle,” he suddenly calls out to the venue, “Shout out to Tokyo! ...Osaka!!!” Even that scream is fascinating. ``It must feel really good to be able to sing like this'' ``It's going to become a legend''... Axel's voice, which is at its best, flows out of the speaker. Yes, the greatest flavor of this work is in the great performances within the great performances, but the superb sound that captures the great performances without sacrificing them is also wonderful. In fact, the recording artist who made this recording a thing was a person who was said to be ``that person'' in Osaka in the late 1990s and 2000s. Our store also has David Bowie's "A REALITY IN OSAKA: THE LAST CONCERT IN JAPAN," Prince's "ONE NITE ALONE IN OSAKA," KANSAS's "OSAKA 2001," RAINBOW's "OSAKA 1995 1ST NIGHT," AC/DC's "OSAKA 2001," and more. Although it is very popular, this work is the latest work of the original master series. In fact, the sound is as amazing as any of the famous products so far. On the day of the show, it was a stormy concert with strong winds and heavy rain (strong enough to destroy the tents in the merchandise sales and relief corner), but it was unbelievably clear and direct. There is not even the slightest sound of the wind. Do the nuances of the sound quality fluctuate here and there? There are some scenes where I think so, but maybe it's just my preconceived notions because I heard it was Arashi...that's about it. What's most amazing is Axel's voice, which is in great shape. This is a complete sound board class with no sense of distance. That's no wonder, as it seems that the recording was done by sticking right in front of the PA. It is a direct connection that can be felt at zero distance between the accelerator's mouth → microphone → PA → taper. Originally, I should have mentioned the professional performance by the members at the time (Buckethead is amazing!), but above all, I would like you to pay attention to Axl's voice. I have handled many GUNS N' ROSES titles, but I certainly don't remember any great singing so far. A scorching vocal album that captures such wonderful performances by Japan's masterful recorders.
