The reorganized tour “NOT IN THIS LIFETIME... TOUR” is currently in progress. From that latest tour, another powerful live album has appeared. This work was recorded at “July 20, 2016 Foxboro Performance”. This is an audience album at “Gillette Stadium”, which is also the home stadium of the NFL New England Patriots. As the schedule progressed on this “NOT IN THIS LIFETIME... TOUR”, powerful sounds started to come out one after another. It may seem natural since the reorganization of GUNS N' ROSES is attracting attention from all over the world, but it's still a bit unusual. Recently, we have just introduced the best live albums “CHICAGO 2016 2ND NIGHT” and “PHILADELPHIA 2016”, but the third recording has already appeared. Immediately after the start of April, which attracted a lot of attention, the third best recording was made with only 8 performances, from “CHICAGO 2016 2ND NIGHT” to this work. I think you can feel that it is being fired at an incredible density. The quality of this third work is truly extraordinary. The previous “PHILADELPHIA 2016” was also a tremendous recording, but this time it is no less. This is a so-called ``soundboard'' type of recording, with a very thick sound with clear edges and a direct feel. Gillette Stadium, where the event took place, is a huge outdoor stadium that can accommodate approximately 70,000 people, but perhaps because of the good positioning, there was no sense of distance, so you could fully enjoy the ``outdoor flavor'' with zero reverberation. . On top of that, the bass is amazing. Even with modern PAs and equipment, bass tends to be a weak point, but the bass of this work is wonderfully rich. Even though it's outdoors, it's not blown away by the wind, and the vibe vibrates in every heart and soul. When I write this, you might think that it's a fluffy sound with only bass, but of course that's not the case. Even with so much bass, the edges of the mid- and high-pitched sounds don't get drowned out, and the balance that doesn't collapse in the slightest is what's amazing. Slash's "that" sound is also glossy, and Axl Rose's singing voice is also really vivid. Every touch of the piano is clear. There are many big bands on tour at this moment, but I can only think of BLACK SABBATH's “THE END” with such an unusual recording series. The latest live performance depicted with such quality is also different from "PHILADELPHIA 2016". Of course, the general performance/set is very similar since it was a close live performance after only 3 performances, but there are two points that change daily. One is a cover song that is played next to "You Could Be Mine" in the middle of the set. In “CHICAGO 2016 2ND NIGHT”, “Raw Power” by IGGY AND THE STOOGES was played, “New Rose” by THE DAMNED was played in “PHILADELPHIA 2016”, but in this work, “Attitude” by MISFITS is played. The other one is three songs later. “Sorry” in “PHILADELPHIA 2016” has been changed to “Catcher In The Rye”. Both songs are included in “CHINESE DEMOCRACY,” but on this day, “Catcher In The Rye” can be heard for the first time since Slash & Duff McKagan returned. By the way, the repertoire of "CHINESE DEMOCRACY" that Slash & Duff has performed to date is 6 songs. "Better," "Chinese Democracy," "This I Love," "Sorry," "Catcher In The Rye," and "There Was A Time." In this work, you can experience four of them with the best sound. Just the other day, the band released a comment saying, "The final date of the 'NOT IN THIS LIFETIME... TOUR' has not been determined. It will continue." Furthermore, Lenny Kravitz, who served as the opening act, also said, ``I never thought they would start the show on time every night...''. Axel is scheduled to rejoin AC/DC from the end of August to September, but the reorganized GUNS N' ROSES is so rock solid that even that won't matter. This work is a three-disc set filled with such fulfilling performances and singing voices. The monster of rock is finally starting to show its true potential.
