“USE YOUR ILLUSION TOUR” where a rock monster trampled the whole world like a monster. The best pro shot that captures its heyday will be released as a super luxury. This work was filmed at “Rosemont performance on April 9, 1992.” This is a multi-camera professional shot. It is a video that has been known as a classic for a long time, but it is a gem that has been discovered in recent years and has been sealed in a 2-disc DVD set for permanent preservation. To begin with, this “USE YOUR ILLUSION TOUR” is a huge tour that lasts two and a half years, including two performances in Japan. Tours spanning several years are not uncommon these days, but at the time it was unprecedented. This is a good opportunity, so let's first visualize the position from the entire tour. 1991, January 20th + 23rd: ROCK IN RIO II (2 performances), May 9th - August 31st: North America #1/Europe #1 (48 performances)《September 17th ``USE YOUR ILLUSION I & II ” released》《Izzy left in November → became a 13-piece lineup including horns》・December 5th-31st: North America #2a (9 performances) 1992・January 3rd-February 22nd: North America #2b/Japan #1 (17 performances)・April 1st-9th: North America #3 (4 performances) ←★Here★・April 20th-October June: Europe #2/North America #4 (47 performances)・11 January 25th - December 13th: South America #1 (9 performances) January 12th - February 6th, 1993: Japan #2/Oceania (6 performances) [Return to 6-piece band only] ・2 May 23rd to April 28th: North America #5 (29 performances) May 22nd to July 17th: Europe #3/South America #2 (27 performances) This is the path of “USE YOUR ILLUSION TOUR”. The Rosemont performance of this work is the final day of "North America #3", which is immediately after "Japan #1", which was also made into an official video. This is the 80th concert out of a total of 194 performances. It's right around the middle of a long road life, and it's a timing when you're really coming into your own. The quality of this work shot at such a show is among the highest in the 90s. Naturally, it is a period-style analog shot, but the freshness of the master shows almost no deterioration over time, and the vividness of the colors and details are frighteningly beautiful. There is no line noise or tracking noise at all, and it is a beautiful image where the scene from 25 years ago spreads across the entire screen. Of course, when it comes to photography and camera work, they are perfect as they have been defending the title of tour representative for many years. There are almost no cheers on the stereo sound board that is directly connected to the table, so it gives in half a step in terms of “on-site feeling”, but in return, the super-class direct feeling is amazing. The sound of the guitar's strings rubbing is vivid, and even the breathing of Axl Rose's vocals can be heard. Some of the previously released songs have “Paradise City” cut out, but this work is literally the longest and best version. In a sense, it is a professional shot work that is more intense than the official video "USE YOUR ILLUSION I&II". GUNS N' ROSES, drawn with such quality, clearly shows off the monsters that overrun the world. The basis of this tour is the official video “USE YOUR ILLUSION WORLD TOUR: 1992 IN TOKYO I & II” taken at the Japanese performance, so let’s organize it while comparing. ・Appetite for Destruction: Nightrain/Mr. Brownstone/It's So Easy/Welcome To The Jungle/Sweet Child O' Mine/Paradise City ・GN'R Rise: Patience/Move To The City ・Use Your Illusion I :Live And Let Die/Double Talkin' Jive/November Rain/Coma (★)/Don't Cry/Bad Obsession Use Your Illusion II: Civil War/You Could Be Mine/Knockin' On Heaven's Door/So Fine /Estranged・Others: Attitude/Theme From The Godfather *Note: Songs marked with “★” cannot be heard in the official video “USE YOUR ILLUSION WORLD TOUR: 1992 IN TOKYO I & II”. ...and it looks like this. Even more powerful than the set is the yokozuna's sumo wrestling. If you think about it calmly, Axl was only 30 years old at the time, but he reigned as the darling of his time, and his dignity was immense. Whether he's singing, talking, or playing the piano, he's extremely enthusiastic and exudes a great aura from his whole body. The crowd goes crazy with his every move. I said earlier that “there are almost no cheers,” but the loud cheers that can be seen even if they are faintly recorded far away are crazy. The camera work focuses on Axel, but also perfectly captures the front line between Slash and Duff. Slash's sticky guitar rides on the rough beat of dub, and Axl's chameleon voice sings and barks... No matter if the horns or the chorus are used, the magic of the sound of the three core members remains unwavering. Especially delicious are the two consecutive hits of "Coma" followed by "Don't Cry." "Coma" has become a standard in the current reorganized GUNS, but at that time there was only a record of Hong playing it a few times. You can see that extremely rare take in the professional shot. The next song, "Don't Cry," features a guest appearance by the late Shannon Hoon of BLIND MELON. At that time, he was still working on his debut work ``BLIND MELON'', and we can catch a glimpse of Axel performing a duet to make his unknown friends known to the world. No one could have imagined that three years later he would die an unnatural death... This is the best ever version of the classic pro shot, both for rabbits and horns.
