A monster that has regained its original form. It's been a month since the invasion of GUNS N' ROSES, with Slash and Duff McKagan returning. A super luxurious set that compiles all of the guys who beat Japan like Godzilla has arrived. The true identity of this work is each performance from "January 21, 2017" to "January 29, 2017" ... in other words, "all of them". All the performances, all the songs, and the whole of the 2017 Japan tour are completely recorded for 13 hours. Moreover, it is a complete collection of the best audience shots that include not only "sound" but also "scenery". First of all, as always, from the schedule ... I stopped, I stopped. Everything is everything. The first day is disc 1, and the final day (the fifth performance) is disc 5. It is a 5-disc set with all the songs from one live performance on each disc. We have reported on the "scenes" under titles such as "SAITAMA 2017 1ST NIGHT: THE VIDEO" and "SAITAMA 2017 2ND NIGHT: THE VIDEO", but this work is the culmination and definitive edition. The 4th and 5th performances are the same as the DVD, but the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd performances are the first to appear this time. Now, let's introduce each performance. [Disc 1: January 21st (Kyocera Dome, Osaka)] From the first day in Osaka to the third day in Yokohama, a new multi-camera shot is shown. In this day and age when anyone can easily shoot, videos are uploaded immediately after the live show (or even during the live show). Most of these videos are for songs or less, but this disc is a full show format where core enthusiasts carefully select the overflowing footage, which is like a star. Therefore, it is not possible to talk in a formulaic manner such as "the angle is ..." or "the image quality and sound quality are ...", but the best shots are selected from the countless shots of the same song, and the real experience of various seats jumps out a la carte. In particular, the first day was packed with close-up or beautiful zoom footage, making it very interesting to watch. Moreover, only on the first day, a sound check was recorded. Although this also differs depending on the song, the tension and excitement of witnessing the front line of Axl, Slash and Duff together for the first time in 24 years is a masterpiece that is slammed with the latest digitally shot image beauty. [Disc 2: January 22 (Kobe World Memorial Hall)] This was also a multi-camera audience set up in the same way as Disc 1. Again, zooms and close-ups are used frequently, making it a tremendous sight to see. And the contents of the show are more than Disc 1. This Japan tour was about two months after the previous "Latin America leg", and for GUNS N' ROSES themselves, it was like "Well, let's start again". The mood was also drifting in the show itself, and the more they played, the better they got. Of course, since it's not the "beginning of the tour" but the "restart," they quickly regain their senses, and the show has already leveled up on the second day. Axl Rose is particularly notable. On the first day, there were some scenes where his voice was not so good, perhaps due to jet lag, but on this day his throat was open and he was able to fully listen to his original chameleon voice. Furthermore, his excitement was also evident in the set, and he also performed "New Rose," "Out Ta Get Me," "Sorry," and "Don't Cry," which he did not play in Osaka. Instead, "Attitued" and "Patience" were dropped, but you can witness plenty of upgraded shows with a lot more songs. [Disc 3: January 25th (Yokohama Arena)] The third performance is also multi-camera, but the atmosphere is a little different from the previous two performances, and it is a disc that mainly depicts the entire show from a long distance. Although there are some medium-distance angles in some songs, most of the footage is of a long distance staring at the entire stage. However, this is also one of the audience's perspectives. Moreover, instead of zooming in unreasonably, the stability is extraordinary, and you won't be bothered by the shadows of the heads and arms of the front row. This is a piece to experience from a distant seat, concentrating on being "at the scene" while staring at the giant screen. And the Yokohama performance, depicted with that quality, is full of GUNS N' ROSES, who have improved their performance even further. The basic set returns to the Osaka performance on the first day, and adds "Used To Love Her" and "Sorry", which were not performed in Osaka. As a result, the number of songs is the same as the Kobe performance (Disc 2), but it is a long live performance that surpasses the number of hours. [Disc 4: January 28th (Saitama Super Arena)] This disc is the same as "SAITAMA 2017 1ST NIGHT: THE VIDEO", and is a distant shot taken from the stand seats on the right side of the stage (slash side). The field of view is also excellent, and the hands of the audience next to you may be reflected (for a moment) on the edge of the screen, so it cannot be said that there are no shadows, but it is not completely absent. In almost 99.9% of the scenes, you can enjoy the full show with the best view where only the stage occupies the field of view. Although it uses more bold zooms than Disc 3, it doesn't shake at all. When you pull back as much as you can, you notice the surprising sense of distance, but it is stable even in a close-up that is not suitable for that. The "first day in Saitama" drawn with that quality is finally full-power driving. The "best show" is said to be the "second day in Saitama", but that is a story of the number of songs. In the band's best form, this disc will not give up even half a step. The set is a form that introduces "Used To Love Her" instead of "Sorry" while making the Kobe performance (Disc 2) valuable. This seems to be a song selection with an eye on the "second day in Saitama", and they are trying to play different songs as much as possible. As a result, when combined with the next Disc 5, you can witness "all the songs in Japan". [Disc 5: January 29 (Saitama Super Arena)] Finally, the final day. This is the complete video of "Saitama Day 2", which is highly acclaimed as the "best show". This is the same as the gift board "SAITAMA 2017 2ND NIGHT: THE VIDEO". If the show is a masterpiece, the video quality is also a masterpiece. Up until now, the angle changed for each song, and it was a distant view, but this disc is a powerful shot from up close. It was shot from the arena seats on the right side of the stage (slash side), but the figure of Axel looking up is close! When it comes to arena seat shooting, it is easy to be bothered by the shadows of the arms and heads of the front row, but this work is held down from the side of the aisle, and miraculously the stage is captured in full view. And it is "Best Show" that is drawn with such quality. As I have repeated so far, it is the longest set in Japan, and they generously showed off "Attitude", "My Michelle", "Sorry", and "Patience" that they did not do the day before. In addition, you can also witness the limited number "Yesterdays" only for this day. The band, which had been getting better and better, was in top form on the final day. It was a "miracle night" full of good things. Since 1993... No, the impact of the 24 years of waiting and giving up was even greater. That was GUNS N' ROSES in 2017, the biggest wave since their first visit to Japan in 1988. A monster set that will let you enjoy the whole story, all the performances, all the songs, and the whole story for 13 hours, 6 minutes, and 40 seconds. Come on, be overwhelmed!
