The 2018 "NOT IN THIS LIFETIME... TOUR" has finally begun to show its true potential. The best long live album is here. Our first album of 2018, "BERLIN 2018", has been very well received, and this work is the second installment following it. This is the best audience recording of the "Bretigny-sur-Orge performance on June 18, 2018". First of all, let's understand the position of the show in the ongoing tour schedule. ・June 3-July 9: Europe (14 performances) - Now Coco ・July 13-24: Europe (5 performances) ・November 8-25: Asia (7 performances) ・November 29: South Africa performance This is the schedule that has been announced so far. This year, it started in June and is now touring Europe. The Bretigny-sur-Orge performance in this work was the sixth concert. This show is the French version of the huge festival "DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL". The home of the DOWNLOAD festival is Donington, England, but it has been multinational since 2016. In 2018, it was held in four countries: the UK, Australia, France, and Spain. GUNS N' ROSES has appeared in three European countries other than Australia. This work, which contains such a show, is a superb recording with plenty of outdoor flavor. It is the work of a recording artist who has recently emerged in France, but there is almost no sense of distance and the details are detailed. And above all, the clarity unique to the outdoors, with no echoes from the walls or ceiling, is wonderful. In the case of a huge festival like DOWNLOAD, a huge PA tower is built for the audience away from the stage, but it is probably recorded directly from that PA tower. While beautifully capturing the close sound with zero echoes, the great enthusiasm in front of the stage is far away. It ideally records the immediate sound and the huge on-site spectacle. Perhaps because the wind blows away the singing voice, there are some parts where it becomes very slightly unstable (there is zero wind noise), so it cannot be said to be "official", but the vivid details and straightforwardness are soundboard class. Such quality is drawn by GUNS N' ROSES, who have finally entered full power operation after many experiences. "BERLIN 2018" was a show of about 2 hours and 40 minutes, probably because it was the first day of the tour resumption, but this work was greatly increased at once. It became a long concert of about 3 and a half hours. In fact, there are a lot of repertoires that could not be heard in "BERLIN 2018". To list them briefly... "Shadow of Your Love", "You Could Be Mine", "New Rose", "Coma", "Yesterdays", "Black Hole Sun", "Sorry", "Don't Cry", and "The Seeker". Of course, it's not just a big deal. "Slither", which seems to be dedicated to Scott Weiland, became a hot topic in "BERLIN 2018", and it continues to be performed in this work. "Black Hole Sun" is a song that brings back memories of Chris Cornell, and "The Seeker" is a song that also brings back the birthday song of Dizzy Reed, who turned 55 on that day. The highlight is "Shadow of Your Love". It was released as a single from the recently released "LOCKED N' LOADED", but it has been revived on stage. The live performance, which is the first in 31 years, explodes with the best sound. Of course, the reason they can play such a long set is because the band is in top form. It is a live album where you can fully enjoy the unfading tension for about three and a half hours. The "NOT IN THIS LIFETIME... TOUR" has improved since its restart and has once again reached a level of over three hours. This is a masterpiece live album that allows you to fully experience the latest show with the best sound. Please enjoy the real pleasure of traveling around the world with Axl, Slash and Duff who have gathered again.
