The outtake recordings of "CHINESE DEMOCRACY", commonly known as "THE VILLAGE SESSIONS", were leaked from the locker of Geffen Records' A&R, Tom Zutau, in 2019 and became a hot topic in the general news. A digest version of 2CDs featuring carefully selected best takes and versions from the 8-hour studio session has been released! This recording was quickly bought back by the band after it was leaked, so despite the buzz, only a few enthusiasts were able to listen to it, and the previously released VOL.1 and VOL.2 of the same title were also sold out immediately and difficult to obtain. VOL.1 and VOL.2 were items aimed at enthusiasts who valued documentary value, as they recorded all the studio sessions that leaked from the locker as they were, with recording levels and sound pressures that were all different, whereas this time the best takes and versions have been carefully selected and the sound pressure has been adjusted to be even throughout, making this a long-awaited release with content and structure that emphasizes appreciation and can be recommended to all fans! First, disc 1 mainly contains the "CHINESE DEMOCRACY" album, and demos and rough mixes of singles such as "PHAHAPS" and "HARD SKOOL" released after Slash and Duff returned.
