A superb professional shot that summarizes Greg Lake's glorious career has been decided to be released. This work contains "Stevenage performance on November 11, 2005". There are three major solo live performances by Greg, with different eras and contents. This is a good opportunity, so let's start by sorting out the basics. [1981: With Gary Moore] ・August 30th - November 5th 1981: UK (20 shows) ・November 20th - December 10th 1981: North America (9 shows) - 24 years later - [2005-2006: Solo band] ・October 22nd - November 18th 2005: UK (20 shows) ←★Here★ ・August 21st 2006: UK (1 show) ・October 2006: North America (3 shows) - 6 years later - [2012-2013: SONGS OF A LIFETIME】・April 11th - May 26th, 2012: North America (26 shows)・November 12th - December 5th, 2012: Europe (16 shows)・February 16th, 2013: Hungary (1 show)・March 20th - 25th, 2013: MOODY BLUES CRUISE・April 5th, 2013: UK (1 show)・June 15th - 18th, 2013: Japan (3 shows) This is an overview of Greg's solo performances throughout his life. The number of shows is unclear because the dates are a bit vague, but you can get an idea of the approximate scale. In 1981, he toured the UK and the US with Gary Moore, in 2005-2006 he was with his solo band, and in the last year, 2012-2013, he was on stage alone with karaoke in the background for "SONGS OF A LIFETIME". Among them, this work includes the 2005 concert when he led a regular style solo band. This is the 15th concert of the UK show. In fact, this is the official pro shot, also known as Greg's only solo live video "LIVE". I have previously introduced John Wetton's solo videos "AMORATA" and "LIVE IN THE UNDERWORLD", but this work was also produced and released by overseas enthusiasts in the same way. Therefore, the bonus footage (documentary, rehearsal, etc.) included in the original release is excluded, but since the original is an official work, the quality is perfect and official. The show depicted with that quality is also wonderful, reminiscent of Wetton's "AMORATA". "AMORATA" was a comprehensive show that mobilized all the famous songs from the career of the migratory bird Wetton, but this work is also Greg's music career itself. Naturally, half of the album is EL&P from the 70s, but there are also two KING CRIMSON songs, one EL&POWELL song, three reorganized EL&P songs, and one 80s solo song (there is no ASIA, but please enjoy the peak record in "DEFINITIVE ASIA IN ASIA (Virtuoso 370/371/372)"). The performance is also wonderful with a five-person band ensemble, and the three guests add to the glamour. Gary is not a semi-protagonist like in 1981, and it is not a karaoke like in 2012-2013. It is a rock-like show with Greg as the absolute main character, and there is no long talk like in "SONGS OF A LIFETIME". And the band-like ensemble is also wonderful. Keith and Carl also played guitar-infused EL&P numbers, but the arrangements on this album place emphasis on Greg's "singing" and "melody," so the pure quality of the songs stands out. Most of the backing band are veterans in the session field, but the one who shines out is Florian Opare, who is well known for his work with the JETHRO TULL/IAN ANDERSON BAND. He rewrites the classic KING CRIMSON/EL&P songs with the same sense he showed at Ian Anderson's Japan tour, and even performs a wonderful Spanish solo in "Take A Pebble." However, the band leader of the backing band is not Opare, but keyboardist David Arch. His unique arrangements shine, as there are many keyboard-based EL&P numbers. The only solo number, "Love You Too Much," features a fierce rock'n'roll piano. Greg's singing voice, which is the most important part of the album, is also wonderful. Although it is different from the boyish delicacy that we heard in the 70s, it is more beautiful than the reorganized EL&P in the 90s. Progressive rock is often noted for its sparkling interplay and performance, but it is only because of the great songs and melodies that it leaves its mark on history. This work not only summarizes Greg's career, but also highlights how good songs and beautiful melodies he has written. This is a full-length set of such a final set, carefully performed by skilled players and recorded in super high-quality pro shots. It is the best masterpiece to experience the life of singer "Greg Lake". Live at the Stevenage Concert Hall, Stevenage, UK 11th November 2005 PRO-SHOT 1. In The Court Of Crimson King 2.
