As Dead fans know, for many years, Dead allowed the free recording and exchange of concerts, and a section for tapers was reserved behind the soundboard section, and recordings could be made in this section by purchasing a special ticket, which resulted in many live recordings remaining for years to come, and in many cases, the sound crew even allowed tapers to connect a recorder directly to the soundboard, so they became concert recording tapes equivalent to official use, and they also remained in the form of so-called official bootlegs. And from the countless live recordings, including audience recordings and soundboards, this Live Collection series is a lineup of highly rare sources, all of which have been digitally remastered using the latest equipment, with high performance, sound quality, and rarity, and although the eras vary, these items were produced and filed by long-time overseas Dead fans, and we recommend selecting them by referring to the era and set list. The live collection series "Vol.3" is a 2 hour 33 minute audience recording of a show at Cornell University in New York on May 8, 1977. After a hiatus from live performances, this was the time when they were about to restart their band just before signing with Arista, and the performances from when Keith and Donna were still in the band are especially valuable. The set list is unique to this period, and includes a number of great performances that can be said to have established the style that would later become a jam band.
