Glenn Hughes' "CLASSIC DEEP PURPLE LIVE" has been very well received, reviving the masterpieces of the 3rd and 4th DEEP PURPLE. The latest and best video will be released. There have been many revival projects in the PURPLE family in recent years, but Glenn's "CLASSIC DEEP PURPLE LIVE" is truly wonderful. It doesn't just play the classic songs of the past, it also revives the spirit. The performance skills are just like in the heyday, the singing voice is still not lost, and the sound is faithful to the time. And above all, the free 70's spirit with plenty of free improvisation... It is an excellent project that gives you the feeling of "watching PURPLE in the 70's" more than WHITESNAKE or RAINBOW. The pattern has been reported in masterpieces such as "SANTIAGO 2018" and "SOUTH AMERICA 2018", but all of them were South American editions. After that, Glenn finally landed on the European continent. This work contains audience shots from the European festival "June 7, 2018 SWEDEN ROCK FESTIVAL performance". "CLASSIC DEEP PURPLE LIVE" has been well received, so the dates have been added. First of all, let's understand the position of the show from the world tour overview to get to know the current situation. ・April 4th + 7th: Europe # 1 (2 performances) ・April 12th - May 1st: South America (11 performances) ・June 7th - August 4th: Europe # 2 (7 performances) ← ★ Here ★ ・August 25th - September 22nd: North America (18 performances) ・September 29th - November 1st: Europe # 3 (20 performances) ・November 19th - 29th: Europe # 4 (3 performances) This is the schedule that has been announced so far. "Europe # 3" has been extended and "Europe # 4" has also been added. This is a date that makes you realize the popularity of PURPLE in Europe, and this work is the first day of "Europe #2". [100% video with an exquisite experience] The quality of this work, which contains such a show, is an audience shot with a wonderful view and an excellent experience. The "SWEDEN ROCK FESTIVAL" on site is a European-style outdoor festival, so there are no stand seats, and the angle is a little up from a close position in front of the stage. Usually, in such a position, the arms of the front row are in the way, and the enthusiasm is often blurred, but there is no need to worry about that with this work. Although the arms may be reflected in the lower part of the screen, the viewpoint is higher than the audience's heads, and you can look straight at the spacious stage. In fact, there are almost no bold zooms, and the camera work is also bland, but instead the sense of stability is outstanding. Even though a tripod is not used, you can enjoy the stage from one end to the other. It's not the kind of edited footage that is common these days, but rather the type of footage that gives you a sense of being on the spot and staring at the stage. The sound enhances that feeling even more. The view is perfect, with zero obstructions, and the venue is completely reverberating because it's an outdoor festival. You can experience the robust sound of the performance and the smooth singing voice, down to the subtleties. On top of that, the enthusiasm at the scene is also wonderful. Although it's not like the fans of DEEP PURPLE are going crazy with all the fuss, the mood of surprise and delight at the intros of each song is very real, and there is even a huge singalong in "Mistreated". You can stand in the middle of that enthusiasm while immersed in the extremely thick performance that dominates it. It's rare to see footage that gives you such a vivid sense of presence and experience without even a trace of ease of viewing or listening. [The amazing "CLASSIC DEEP PURPLE LIVE"] And the DEEP PURPLE numbers of the past can be enjoyed with an exquisite experience. Although it is unfortunate that the set is short only for a festival appearance, the feeling of the 70s is even more dense and wonderful, and the tension does not relax from the beginning to the end. The guitar reproduces Richie's tone, and the keyboard roars with a Hammond sound. And the great Glenn roars a shout that you would not think is 66 years old... In fact, strictly speaking, it feels like the power has dropped a little, but for Glenn, that's just right (wry smile). There is no strange voice that breaks through the ensemble, and the singing at a level that is properly organized as an ensemble is very cool. Such a wonderful stage of "CLASSIC DEEP PURPLE LIVE" was also experienced in South America, but the scenes that are only in this work are not to be missed. First of all, "Highway Star". Naturally, Glenn sings while playing the bass, but in this song he leaves the bass to the roadie and concentrates on singing. That appearance is cool! Moving from side to side on the stage with a hand microphone in one hand, his performance as a frontman is fresh. Moreover, he is dressed in a denim vest and sunglasses, just like a young Ian Gillan. An incident occurs during "Highway Star". Perhaps he is spotted by a staff member, and a voice is heard as if to ask, "What are you recording?" The cameraman quickly moves to the edge of the venue. The lens is pointed as far as possible toward the stage, but his hand is also reflected as if to hide the camera. For "Burn", he returns to the superb position again, but the sense of tension is so real that it makes you feel startled. Then comes the highlight, "Burn". Glenn is cool again with the bass, but here Soren Andersen on guitar is also interesting. Until then, he had been recreating Richie with his tone and phrases, but here, since it is a highlight, he performs with a series of actions! I think he is probably conscious of the legendary CaliJam, but it is also amusing that it looks strangely like Yngwie. "CLASSIC DEEP PURPLE LIVE" has finally landed in Europe, their main battlefield. Although they may not hold the same name value as other members of the family, their active feel and strong 70's spirit are one of a kind. This is a superb video that allows you to experience such a show with 2018 quality. Live at Norje Havsbad, Norje, Sweden 7th June 2018 1. Intro 2. Stormbringer 3. Might Just Take Your Life 4.
