From Ian Gillan's solo world tour from 1991 to 1992, this is a collection of two shows from his February 1992 performance in Japan, which has attracted a lot of attention from fans. After Gillan left DEEP PURPLE, he immediately turned to solo activities, and with his successive releases ``NAKED THUNDER'' and ``TOOLBOX,'' he captivated fans with his hard yet light rocking music that DEEP PURPLE couldn't achieve at the time. However, they became even more active in their live performances, touring the circuit from Europe to South America to show their fans that they were still alive and well. In 1992, the guitarist changed from Steve Morris to Dean Howard, but the scale of the tour became larger and the band began to tour as far as Asia and Oceania. The two shows that can be heard in this work are the 3rd show at Nagoya Bottom Line and the 4th show at the Osaka Welfare Pension Hall from the Japan tour, which was held for a total of 6 shows from February 15th to 22nd, 1992. , both offer excellent sound conditions and allow you to fully enjoy the powerful live performance. Disc 1 and Disc 2 contain a complete recording of the Nagoya performance on February 18th for 90 minutes. It is based on a first-class audience source that was recorded as clearly and directly as a line sound source, and the dynamic sound images of the opening songs "Dancing Nylon Shirt" and "Candy Horizon" will shock you as if you were awake. You can taste it. The band's performance, which is well-balanced and built around Gillan's songs, is very well-balanced, and the separation of each instrument's parts is excellent. “Dirty Dog” and “Black Night” are outstanding takes that clearly convey the good sound quality of this work, and you can clearly hear the detailed play of the bass. The dramatic "Don't Hold Me Back" is truly a masterpiece, and Guillain's passionate singing and the band's professional playing blend together at a high level. Songs such as "Maybe I'm A Leo" and "When A Blind Man Cries", which will be premiered live in Japan at this time, have received positive reactions from fans, and it can be seen that the audience is genuinely enjoying these songs. Masu. The encore song "Blue Steel" was not included in the album, and many of the fans at the venue were probably unfamiliar with it, but Gillan's active performance had the power to entertain the audience even without such knowledge, and it was exciting. The live show comes to a close with the last song “Smoke On The Water”. The power of the band playing right in front of your eyes and the superb line-level sound are literally of exceptional quality, so it wouldn't be strange if the original sound source was released as a press CD separately. The following Discs 3 and 4 contain the complete recording of the live show held at the Osaka Kosei Pension Hall, which was held two days later on February 20th, from the opening to the end of the show. Compared to the Nagoya performance, which was very direct and on, the acoustics are natural and wide-spread, and the sound image clearly reflects the size of the venue in the recording. The sound, which looks over the stage from a step back, gives you a sense of realism that can only be achieved with audience recording, and listeners will be able to enjoy this fulfilling live performance as if they were in the audience. Since it is the Osaka Welfare Pension Hall, where many legendary shows have been held since the DEEP PURPLE era, Guillain himself is feeling excited, and the performance from "Candy Horizon" is very high tension. The audience in Osaka is enthusiastically cheering for Gillan even in the new songs, and is getting very excited with upbeat rock numbers such as “Toolbox,” “Everything I Need,” and even “Bed Of Nails.” Of course, “Black Night” and “Maybe I’m A Leo” are a festival, and the stage and audience seats are united to create a live performance. “New Orleans,” which flows in from the drum solo, is a particularly rewarding song to listen to, and Gillan, who is in top form, skillfully engages the audience while singing happily, allowing the listener to get caught up in the rhythm of the band without even realizing it. Sho. The encore is the same “Blue Steel” and “Smoke On The Water” as in Nagoya. The reaction of Osaka fans to “Smoke On The Water” was especially passionate, and it shows how much Gillan is loved in this city. After this, Gillan toured as a solo artist mainly in South America and Europe until September, when he received an offer from DEEP PURPLE's management to return to the band. ``THE BATTLE RAGES ON'', which was released immediately after Gillan returned to PURPLE, is controversial among fans, but the first half of the 1993 tour has been praised as ``the best even after the reunion''. The excitement of the performance was high. This is not unrelated to Gillan returning to his rock origins through the solo live performances that can be heard in this work. This live show, in which Ian Gillan expresses himself freely without being bound by anyone, is filled with his characteristic energy and unbridled wildness. Please take this opportunity to enjoy the precious 1992 performance in Japan, which has rarely been released until now. The best live performance will be released with a total of 180 minutes of 2 performances!
