In 1991/1992, Ian Gillan hit his own hard rock, different from his old club DEEP PURPLE, with his masterpiece "TOOLBOX". The best original recording, which is the masterpiece, is newly discovered. What is infused into this work is the “February 18, 1992: Nagoya Bottom Line” performance. This is a super powerful audience recording. Speaking of coming to Japan in the "TOOLBOX" era, "TOOLBOX IN JAPAN (Shades 257)" is a classic at our store, but this work is completely different. In order to explain the circumstances around that, let's first check the show's position from the schedule at that time.・February 15th: Okinawa Convention Center ・February 17th: Shibuya Club Quattro ・February 18th ``JAPAN TOUR 1992 (Nagoya)'' & ★This work★ ・February 20th ``JAPAN TOUR 1992 (Osaka)'' ・February 21st: Nakano Sunplaza February 22nd: Nakano Sunplaza Total of 6 performances. "TOOLBOX IN JAPAN" is a set of two performances in Nagoya and Osaka, and this work is also in Nagoya. Although the show is the same, it is a completely different recording. And the quality is shocking. Recently, the Nagoya recording series has been releasing masterpieces one after another, but this work is a super masterpiece that stands out even in that masterpiece collection. What's great about it is the intensely tight and intimate direct feeling. It's completely different from the "TOOLBOX IN JAPAN" master, which had a sense of distance, and is now completely zero distance. Since it is a Nagoya collection, it can be determined that it is ``definitely an audience recording'', but from the sound that flows out it is hard to believe that it is an audience recording. To say more, it's (much) more amazing than the broadcast soundboards around the world. In fact, speaking of the standard of the "TOOLBOX" era, there is the German TV broadcast pro shot "GERMANY 1991", but that sound board audio is also completely unsuitable. I don't know what kind of excavations will be made in the future, but at the moment this work is the official replacement for the "TOOLBOX" era, and it is definitely a world champion recording. What is depicted with such a masterpiece sound is a full show of full value. As mentioned above, the most famous of this era is the German TV broadcast pro shot "GERMANY 1991", so let's organize the sets while comparing them. DEEP PURPLE Classics (4 songs)・Black Night (★)/Maybe I'm A Leo/When A Blind Man Cries/Smoke On The Water TOOLBOX (9 songs)・Dancing Nylon Shirt (Part 2)/Candy Horizon/Dirty Dog /Toolbox/Don't Hold Me Back/Everything I Need/Bed Of Nails/Hang Me Out To Dry/Dancing Nylon Shirt (Part 1) Others (3 songs)・NAKED THUNDER: No More Cane On The Brazos・FUTURE SHOCK: New Orleans - Unreleased song: Blue Steel *Note: Songs marked with a "★" cannot be heard even on the standard pro shot "GERMANY 1991". ...and it looks like this. From the old GILLAN, we limited ourselves to only "New Orleans" and played a large number of PURPLE classics and "TOOLBOX" numbers. Even the unreleased song “Blue Steel” pops up at the time. And that "TOOLBOX" number is really cool. When it comes to Ian Gillan's solo activities, when he was in DEEP PURPLE, he had a wide variety of rock'n'roll styles, but when he left DEEP PURPLE, he tended to turn to hard rock, and of course he did ``TOOLBOX'' while he left DEEP PURPLE. Plenty of famous songs that are full of ``unique hard rock different from Purple'' will be performed. "Candy Horizon" is a masterpiece filled with sadness, the catchy melodic rock "Toolbox", "Don't Hold Me Back" is heart-wrenching with its unique dramaticism, and the authentic GILLAN rock'n'roll "Bed of Nails". ” and so on. Not only DEEP PURPLE, but also the extremes of British hardware that are different from the old GILLAN pop out one after another, and the best shouts for the first time in a while cut through (it is a beautiful scream that is on a different level from the German TV broadcast pro shot). It's only now that I realize that ``TOOLBOX'' has so many great songs... This is GILLAN's masterpiece album from the 90s, where you can fully experience the rare live performance of "TOOLBOX" numbers with the best sound that is better than a broadcast soundboard. It is extremely unfortunate that they did not leave an official live album during the “TOOLBOX” era, but this work will sufficiently heal that thirst. The best masterpiece of the "TOOLBOX" era. This is a super powerful audience recording of the "February 18, 1992: Nagoya Bottom Line" performance. Anyway, the intensely tight and close direct feeling is shocking. The standard TV broadcast pro shot “GERMANY 1991” is also famous, but that sound board audio is also completely unmatched. This is a superb live album that replaces the official one, and you can enjoy a large amount of the "TOOLBOX" number, which is the pinnacle of GILLAN-style melodic rock, and the unreleased song "Blue Steel."
