Complete collection of George's promo clips. ■Comprehensive coverage of alternate versions, alternate takes, making-of, etc. ■Also includes related footage such as album promotion spots. ■Includes promos for songs with other artists. George's collection of promos, which are few in number but are often elaborate and elaborate, is covered in this one title. Some of them feel dated, but they all reflect George's humor and tastes. The quality of the images is also the best that can be imagined at present, and this is the definitive edition that systematically records George's promo clips, which have only had half-baked quality and half-baked content until now. Moreover, this title is a compilation of videos related to promotions, including not only the promos that George produced during his lifetime, but also those produced after his death, alternate versions, alternate takes, making-of, and commercial spots for the album. [Disc 1] First of all, it is a promo for "My Sweet Lord" produced from the live footage of the Bangladesh Concert that marked the opening of the 1970s. George, bearded and wearing a white suit and singing with an acoustic guitar, was still in his late 20s at this point. "Dark Horse" is a video of George singing in the studio. It's a simple promo that uses only performance scenes, which is typical of George. "Ding Dong Ding Dong" is a funny one where George trips and almost falls. It's a promo with George performing in various costumes. There is a scene where he sings in a collarless suit with a mushroom cut from the Beatles era, and then he wears a Sergeant costume, and even performs half-naked. In the background, there are cute dolls that appeared on the cover of ALL THINGS MUST PASS. It's a lively scene. At this point, you can see how confident George is in his ability to parody the Beatles era. "Crackerbox Palace" feels like the cover of "LIVING IN THE MATRIAL WORLD" is moving, and the vast garden of George's house is beautiful, and very picturesque images are used abundantly. In the second half, George's house is also used for filming, and mysterious characters appear one after another, recreating the world of British fairy tales. "True Love" also follows the same theme of various characters appearing in the garden of his home. George is probably being careful not to fall off the boat, but his awkward movements are amusing. "This Song" starts with a scene of George being handcuffed and taken to court, mocking the plagiarism scandal of "My Sweet Lord". In addition to the courtroom scene, there is a scene where George sings with sheet music in the background, making it seem as if he is making an explanation. It seems a bit like an excuse, but he probably couldn't help making excuses like this. And among George's promos, "Blow Away" stands out. It starts with a very cool image of George's profile against a blue sky with clouds flowing, but when the song starts, George's steps are very uncool (lol), and he even sings in a potty, making him a comic relief character that is unlike George. "Faster" also shows George's hobbies at the forefront. George was into car racing at that time, and he was seen watching it at various venues. The main focus of the video is the race cars rather than George, and as a George fan, the racing scenes are a bit disappointing. "All Those Years Ago" was originally made as one of the songs in the album, but after the news of John's death, it was quickly remade as a memorial song. The fact that Ringo and Paul participated in the chorus was a hot topic at the time. As it was a promotional video, it is a collage of footage of George and John from their Beatles days. It also includes footage from their 1966 Japan tour. "Save The World" is a promotional video with a message to protect the environment, as the title suggests, and is very unpleasant for Japanese people, as it critically shows Japanese fishing boats that engage in whaling. "Shanghai Surprise" is structured so that recording scenes are inserted into the movie scenes. Madonna's appearance in this movie was also a hot topic at the time. "Here Comes The Sun" is the live performance of Prince Trust in 1987. It is a precious stage video from a time when they had no live activities, and you can see that they are singing confidently, although they are a little nervous. Now, with a young Ringo playing drums, Ray Cooper on percussion, and Jeff Lynn on guitar, this is the lineup that will be the foundation of George's future performances in Japan and the Anthology Project. The last song on disc 1 is "Set On You", which has a total of 10 versions. As it was a big hit at the time, it is known that there is roughly an arcade version and an indoor version, but there are various versions of each. First, there is the arcade version. The scene of men and women with typical 80s makeup and fashion playing crane games at an arcade and the scene of George playing progress in parallel, and the two worlds are connected halfway through. In particular, Raw edit B is the unedited video that can be seen in full only with George playing the game without the arcade scene. And here is another promo for the song, in which George is playing the song while sitting on a sofa in a room. The grandfather clock, bookshelf, and animal decorations sticking out of the wall all move in time with the song, making you think that George's tastes haven't changed since the 70s. There is a scene where he stands up from the sofa and does a backflip, but when the camera stops, you can see that a completely different person has been replaced. You can compare each scene in multi-view, so please check out the subtle differences in editing. [Disc 2] "Cloud 9," released in 1987, is a masterpiece that includes not only the single hit "Set On You." The last song on the album, "Set On You," is a cover song, but the masterpiece written by George is "When We Was Fab." Not only the title but also the melody is clearly inspired by the Beatles, and the song has an atmosphere like a collaboration between John and George. The whole song has an "I Am The Warlus"-like atmosphere, and it is a song that is Indian-style, or should I say, sprinkled with the smell of incense. And this promo video is very elaborate and popular among fans. Like Hitchcock's movie "Rope," it is structured with one camera, various people passing in front of George singing in front of a wall on a street corner. Ringo and Jeff Lynne can also be seen. And even a left-handed bassist appears, which is elaborate. At the end, George grows out of George's body one after another, which is probably the influence of Indian philosophy. This work contains four promos for this "When We Was Fab". "This Is Love" allows you to enjoy the refreshing visual beauty that flows with the melody. George singing lightly on the tropical beach looks very healthy. From here, it is not George's solo, but the Traveling Wilburys promo. Since it is a band formed across record companies, all the members use fake names, but there is no way that they won't be found out (lol). Besides George, the other members were Dylan, Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, and Roy Orbison. The first single was "Handle With Care," in which each member took turns singing, and this album also includes four versions of the promo, which can be compared in multi-view. The outtake footage also conveys the peaceful atmosphere between shoots. "End Of The Line" is an old rock and roll song, in which each member also took turns singing. This song also includes multiple takes, multi-view, and outtake footage. "Nobody's Child" is a song included in a project omnibus that was not included in the album, and is composed of animation and documentary footage. The Traveling Wilburys naturally disappeared with the death of Roy Orbison, leaving behind two albums, but the title of their second album, "Volume 3," has led to various speculations. The first single from "Volume 3" is "She's My Baby." Gary Moore is in charge of the hard guitar in the recording. While "Handle With Care" featured vocals mainly from George, this song features Tom Petty and Dylan. With such a large cast, it would be difficult to do anything else, but like "Handle With Care," the members sing in a warehouse-like setting, which is a similar visual. "Inside Out" is a complete departure from the original, and features footage of the band performing in a place that resembles a school play stage, with a forest backdrop. This track also includes multi-view and outtake footage. "Wilbury Twist" is a light-hearted song that would be suitable for dancing in an oldies-style dance hall. It starts with a theatrical opening, followed by scenes of the band playing, and then various people dancing. [Disc 3] "Any Road" is a collage of footage from their youth in Liverpool, through the Beatles era, and up to recent footage. It includes footage of the band's 1974 tour, as well as private footage, making it a must-see for fans. I was surprised that the lip movements, which should not have matched the various collage images, were made to match the lyrics. "Taxman" was made to go with "Dark Horse Years" and used footage from a 1991 Japan concert. Although it is footage from a Japan concert, the audience is not shown at all, so this is likely the footage that was shown on the screen that day. The three songs "Living In The Material World", "Sue Me Sue You Blues" and "Miss O'dell" are promos made in 2006. The promo for "Living In The Material World" shows the record manufacturing factory at the time, and you can see the process of literally assembling the album. Apart from George's songs, this is a very valuable video. The next song, "What Is Life", is a promo made in 2014. George does not appear at all, and it is a mysterious video of a beautiful girl dancing to the song. However, it is an attractive promo that draws you in with the pure cuteness of the girl and the fairy tale-like world that permeates the whole thing. [ORIGINAL TV SPOT] From here on, although it is promotional footage, it contains TV commercials from when each album was released. It is amazing that there were people who recorded this kind of footage back then. Normally, TV commercials are destined to disappear after only being aired at the time, but it is amazing that they have been preserved like this. [TV SHOWS] From here on, we see footage that was broadcast on TV shows. There are two versions of "My Sweet Lord" included, the first of which was aired on a program called TOP POP in the Netherlands in 1970. There is no footage of George performing, but it is a collage of various photos and footage. It was broadcast in 1970, so it's all footage and photos from the Beatles' time. The next song, "My Sweet Lord," was broadcast in 1971. This one also doesn't have George performing, and it's just female dancers dancing to the song. "DING DONG DING DONG" was broadcast in 1974, and this one also has female dancers dancing to the song. It's a shame that George isn't in it, as it's an elaborate production using chromakey processing and has vivid color footage. "The Pirate Song" is now a famous performance. In response to the plagiarism scandal of "My Sweet Lord," he starts singing a song called "Pirate (stolen)" in the intro of the song. It's a live video with a heartwarming image of George singing with a triumphant look. "This Song" is a miming performance from a German program in 1977. It's a video of George with curly hair singing, wearing a flashy white suit and red shirt, and holding a guitar. This is a very rare moving video of George playing during this period. The two songs, "Hottest Going In Town" and "Someplace Else," are footage of the recording scene. [RELATED VIDEOS] From here on, although they are not George's own promotional videos, they are related videos of George participating in recording or promotional videos for other artists. George does not seem to have much interaction with other artists, but as you can see from the videos included here, he has participated in many, although not as much as Paul. [COMPLETE PROMO CLIP COLLECTION] Complete coverage of George's promotional videos. Including different versions and outtakes, this work contains all the promotional videos produced from the breakup of The Beatles to the present after his death. Not only George's solo promotional videos, but also TV spots when each album was released, TV broadcast videos, and other broad promotional videos, as well as promotional videos of songs he participated in by other artists, have never been recorded so thoroughly before.
