George Harrison's 1974 North American tour was brought back into the limelight with the release of the highly popular "LONG BEACH 1974", but the excellent audience who had been making the tour known for a long time was in Fort Worth on November 22nd. The sound image was incredibly intense, and the recording state was so clear and powerful that it was almost misleading, as if it had been recorded by Mike Millard. That's why, in the analog era, Contraband's LP "MORE FROM THE TOUR" and Wizard's "A DARK HORSE IN '74" were released long ago. However, in the CD era, the sound quality was dramatically upgraded with the nostalgic "HARI'S ON TOUR". Above all, when it was released, it was almost misunderstood that the sound board had finally come out from the 74 tour. However, this version was an incomplete version with only George's part on one CD, and then a complete version including the Shankar Family & Friends part was released under the name of two types of "FORTWORTH EXPRESS" and it felt like it was perfected. However, 10 years ago, a file from the master cassette of the George 74 tour's rare recording was distributed. It was an undeniable quality that convinced me that it was the definitive version and the best sound quality from the master, but for some reason the item was not released. Looking back, 10 years ago can be said to be the ice age of the George 74 tour item, and even the master recording of the standard audience ended up being left unattended. The final blow to this situation, which can only be described as unfortunate for this superb audience, is that the Fort Worth file has now disappeared from the sound source site. So, in response to the positive reception of "LONG BEACH 1974", the release of the Fort Worth master after 10 years has been realized based on the provision of an overseas enthusiast who still owns the file! While the two previously released "FORTWORTH EXPRESS" albums were complete, there was a sense that the condition of the sound source and the sound quality were somehow lacking, but the upper feeling of the recording from the master this time is striking. Although it is a sound source that has made the name of the best audience that is overwhelmingly easy to listen to unshakable among enthusiasts, the natural and clear sound quality is finally because of the master. In front of this version, even the past items that seemed to have such high sound quality sound seem to be hazy. And Long Beach was a famous recording that captured the rough performance unique to the first half of the tour, but here in Fort Worth, the performance is amazing. In particular, when it comes to "In My Life", which was a famous cover of the 1974 tour, the performance is so solid that you would want to call it a "complete form", and George's singing is captured with such high sound quality that it is almost raw. What's even more surprising is the excitement in the Shankar family. Unlike the reports and anchor stones of the time, the audience here in Fort Worth listened to their parts, and the ups and downs of "Cheparte" were met with loud cheers. George, who was so pleased with the excitement, was so excited that he even changed the lyrics of "For You Blue" to "I love you! Fort Worth, Texas". The stereo audience that captured the rhythm section of Andy Newmark and Willie Weeks so clearly was truly impressive. Not only was the sound quality so overwhelming, but the performance of George in a good mood was so well conveyed that it was only because of the superb audience that it was possible to feel it in one's hands. This rare recording, which many people will have been grateful for from the nostalgic "HARI'S ON TOUR", has finally been released on CD from the master. If "LONG BEACH 1974" represents the first half of the tour, then this is the definitive Fort Worth version of the best audience, representing not only the middle part of the tour, but also the entire tour.
