George Harrison's 1974 Atlanta performance has long been known among enthusiasts for its 8mm footage with close-ups that look like professional shots, but three weeks ago, a completely different 8mm video suddenly appeared on YouTube. That alone was a very historic discovery, but for some reason it didn't get as much attention as expected when it first appeared, and it has only recently started to be picked up by enthusiasts on social media. This time it's not as close-up as the previous 8mm, but it still captures the state on stage and George's facial expressions well, and above all, the image quality is excellent. Rather, thanks to the exquisite angle, it is very valuable that Andy Newmark and Jim Keltner's twin drums on stage are captured on Billy Preston's "Outta Space". It was known that Keltner joined the tour halfway through and they had a twin drums configuration, but this is an extremely important video record, as there were few photos and videos that captured their appearance. Also, Robben Ford was playing the intro to "What Is Life," and the series of precious scenes that can only be seen from that angle will surely excite any enthusiast. Although the filming time is short at 10 minutes because of the 8mm, it is impressive that it captures George's appearance on the 1974 tour, and even in Atlanta. As is well known, George on this day was on stage wearing a long-sleeved T-shirt with his face on it that was sold at the venue, and this was also a visual that proves him in Atlanta. And it is wonderful that it captures George's expression of really enjoying playing throughout the entire video. The audio is also perfectly synchronized, so you can see George's happy expression on the instrumental "Tom Cat," and even his slide playing on "Maya Love." This is an amazing newly excavated video that condenses the charm of George's 1974 tour into a 10-minute length! The Omni, Atlanta, GA, USA 28th November 1974 AMAZING SHOT!!! 1.
