Official live album "GENESIS LIVE" from Peter Gabriel's era. That progressive rock masterpiece is now available in a long version that includes "Supper's Ready", which is not available on the regular edition. Of course, it is not something like patching the sound source of other performances. The basis for this work is the test LP produced by the Dutch official label "Dutch Philips". Originally, the official product version of "GENESIS LIVE" was popular as a single disc, but for some reason this test LP was produced as a two-disc set, and "Supper's Ready" was also engraved on it. Moreover, the order of the songs is different, probably because it is as long as four analog sides, and even includes the famous song introduction "Supper's Ready Story" and the cheers waiting for the encore. Furthermore, the mix is also different. In the first place, “GENESIS LIVE” was not originally recorded for release, but was recorded for the radio program “KING BISCUIT FLOWER HOUR”. However, Charisma Records noticed the popularity of live performances at the time and remixed the song to release a live album. Initially, the plan was to release it as a two-disc set, but in order to make it cheaper and more widely known, it was released as a single disc. This test board was created through this process. Even the number of pieces is not confirmed, and it is said that ``20 to 50 pieces were made,'' but only about 10 pieces have been handed down to date. It is considered to be the "highest quality GENESIS analog" and is so rare that it sells for more than 250,000 yen. This work was created directly from the test board of “Dutch Philips”. It is clear that it is not just a broadcast sound source because there is no radio DJ, but what speaks even more eloquently is its quality. The beautiful sound has perfect clarity, mix, and freshness. Absolutely perfect official quality...or should I say, it's a sound that maniacs all over the world say is "better than the official version of GENESIS LIVE". In fact, the official box set "LIVE 1973?2007" version also had high sound quality, but Nick Davis' remix had a quirk that divided it into good and bad. However, this work has the same sound as in 1973, and although the natural sound derived from analog is the best match for the fantasy sound of GENESIS, there is no muffled feeling at all. In this work, we took great care not to spoil the umami, and adjusted it to bring out the outline of the original sound (just naturally). The best sound in existence has been taken to the ultimate level. The historical masterpiece revived with such “official sound that is better than official” is the ideal of the dazzling “GENESIS world of the Gabriel era”. I was very impressed just by continuing from “Watcher Of The Skies” to “The Musical Box” as per the concert at that time. This is the A side of the test press, and the B side is only "Get 'Em Out By Friday". The switching process for the analog side was rough since it was a test press, but even that is evidence of history. Every song, every moment is worth listening to, and it's full of the real thrill of progressive rock. Particularly moving is "Supper's Ready," which takes up 26 and a half minutes and occupies the entire C side. It has not been officially released for many years, and even in the box set "LIVE 1973-2007" it was not made public for a mysterious reason: "There is a tape, but the Rainbow Theater performance (included) was better." . I can't believe I can listen to it with a sound better than the official one... The humorous narration of "Supper's Ready Story" makes me very excited, but at the end, when I say "...supper is ready," the audience erupts in applause, saying, "I've been waiting for you!" No, I really, really waited. This moment. The historical masterpiece "FOXTROT" was revealed to the world in October 1972. Only four months have passed since then, and "Supper's Ready" seems to have changed from innocence to ephemerality. Banks' keyboard and Hackett's guitar create a fantasy world while layering detailed phrases, and Gabriel's singing voice plays as if it were his own on the sound stage. All the live performances of historical masterpieces, “Supper’s Ready” of “February 25, 1973 Leicester performance”, are spun with a sound that is better than the official one. In addition, the last D side of the 2LP is “The Return Of The Giant Hogweed (just like the official version, this song will be performed in Manchester on February 24th)” and “The Knife”. Even before this “The Knife”, a long cheer that was cut in the product version “GENESIS LIVE” is recorded. The best version of the historical masterpiece "GENESIS LIVE" in terms of sound quality and length. This is a piece that conveys the "original state" as it was in 1973. We will deliver to you the long-awaited CD of the super-definitive album from Gabriel's era.
