This newly discovered stereo soundboard recording captures the August 1st performance in Peoria, part of the North American tour accompanying the release of 1982's "Three Sides Live." First, it's a direct recording from the mix-board master, a recording often released in recent years, also leaked from insiders. The unprocessed sound is incredibly realistic, clearly reproducing even the subtle nuances of the band's ensemble. Furthermore, unreleased sections of some songs and between songs are complemented by premium audience recordings, creating a complete 1 hour and 58 minute rendition of the day's performance. This first day of the tour essentially follows the official live album, offering a balanced selection of key tracks from the Gabriel era through to "Abacab." Unlike the edited and retouched official release, this release offers a powerful, direct-mixboard sound experience.
