From Gary Moore's 1987 Japan tour accompanying the release of "WILD FRONTIER", the performance at Nakano Sun Plaza in Tokyo on the first day, July 13th, and the performance at NHK Hall in Tokyo on the final day, July 17th, will be released as the definitive version, fully remastered using excellent audience masters directly! This work, which allows fans to enjoy the first and last days of the '87 Japan tour, is a special package that even Gary fans cannot miss! From the tour after the release of "WILD FRONTIER", which Gary Moore created with his feelings for his hometown Ireland and Phil Lynott, there are many wonderful live recordings that are worthy of this masterpiece. Among them, "LONER'S END" is known as the definitive soundboard sound source, and the recently released "SWEDISH FRONTIER: COMPLETE STOCKHOLM 1987" packages the Stockholm performance of that year with two sources, the audience recording that can be said to be the best at the time and the broadcast sound source on the same day, and you can enjoy the special live performance that was also the official live video to the fullest, and many titles have received high praise and support from fans. Perhaps because there are such excellent materials in overseas performances, the sound source from the Japan tour held in July of the same year seems to have been overshadowed, but this work that will appear this time will be a definitive item for the Japan tour and will greatly delight fans. The Nakano Sun Plaza performance on July 13th recorded on discs 1 and 2 is a super-excellent audience source that was previously released as "BACK TO THE WILD" by the Power Gate label, and has been recorded on a full remaster. This sound source is originally characterized by its excellent sound, which is highly praised in specialist magazines. The most important thing is that the sound is clear and the visibility is excellent. The cheers and clapping of the audience only serve to enhance the performance, and do not interfere with it at all. The balance of each instrument is also impeccable, and considering the characteristics of the sound, it is imagined that it was recorded near the PA mixer (no doubt the best position at Nakano Sun Plaza)! This is truly the best of the best live tape. Compared to the previous '85 tour, the '87 live has a much cleaner selection of songs, but the Irish-flavored set creates a live performance with an original mood like never before. The opening songs, "Over The Hills And Far Away" and "Thunder Rising," will draw the listener into the show in an instant. "Wild Frontier," which is played between the above two songs and the classic "Shapes Of Things," is also wonderful, with its sadness and fresh melody. Furthermore, the medley of "Military Man" left by Phil Lynott, "So Far Away" and "Empty Rooms" should knock the listeners out completely. Considering the fact that the live was performed in a similar manner on the 2010 tour when Gary returned from blues to hard rock, it is painfully clear how complete this set list was. Gary's acoustic solo part featured in the intro of "Victims Of The Future" at the beginning of disc 2 is a major listening point of this work. The superb take that allows you to hear even the smallest sounds firmly with a transparent sound, the main part of "Victims Of The Future" can be enjoyed with the highest excitement. And the climax of the live is "The Loner" in the encore that made the '87 live special! Even in the super long version of nearly 15 minutes, it never gets dull or bores the listener, and you can listen to the supreme performance that only Gary can play in the best form. Fans will not feel any loss if they get this work just to listen to this scene! Discs 3 and 4 contain the performance at NHK Hall on July 17th, the last day of their visit to Japan, with a sound that can be said to be the best sound quality ever. This sound source was also released as "EASTERN FRONTIER", but the source of this work, which has been completely repaired and re-recorded after the July 13th take, should make all listeners feel a big difference from the previous release! Although "EASTERN FRONTIER" was very excellent in terms of sound clarity and listening, there was a weak point that the pitch was fast (about a semitone in some scenes) throughout the live performance, and fans who understand the quality of sound were eager to see it re-released on an upgraded version. This time, in order to meet the expectations of these fans, the sound generated from the master tape was checked in detail and the tape speed, which differed depending on the scene, was completely adjusted. Of course, the resolution and clarity of the sound was also improved at the same time, and it has been polished to a level that can be said to be completely different from the previous release. Fans who already know the live performance will be surprised by the improvement in sound when they listen to this work, and will be able to listen to the great performance on the last day of their visit to Japan again. As mentioned above, the clarity and sound balance can be said to be the best as an audience recording at that time, and the separation of the sound is also wonderful. From "Over The Hills And Far Away", Gary's guitar is very clear in every song, both solo and backing, and Bob Daisley's bass can be clearly heard on a per note basis. The Irish Gary live dramatically unfolds with this sound, and the whole thing is a perfect listen! "Thunder Rising", with its impressive beat that former BLACK SABBATH member Eric Singer hits powerfully and tightly, will greatly excite the listener! The high quality of the album also enhances the quality of the live performance, and the classic songs "Shapes Of Things", "Empty Rooms" and "Victims Of The Future" also have a somewhat Irish taste. The wonderfulness of "Out In The Fields," which makes the highlight of the live show, is so amazing that you have no choice but to listen to it for yourself! After exciting the venue with the catchy numbers "Rockin' Every Night" and "All Messed Up," the soulful "The Loner," which is played as the last encore, will beautifully decorate the climax of the final day of the visit to Japan. The 17-minute performance, which exceeds the performance on the first day, will make fans think from the bottom of their hearts, "I'm glad I like Gary!" Although the "WILD FRONTIER" tour was a large-scale tour in various European countries and various parts of the United States, the performance in Japan was limited to a total of four performances in Tokyo and Osaka, and the number of songs performed was also less than in the early '80s. However, the perfection of the show was unprecedented, and the fulfillment of the performance and the listening response of each song left a strong impression on Japanese fans. This work, which allows you to enjoy the first and last days of the tour with ideal sound, can be said to be a special package that is comparable to the masterpiece titles of overseas performances. The best title of the '87 Japan tour that all Gary fans will enjoy is here!
