Many excellent audience recordings are known from Gary Moore's performances in Japan during the '80s hard rock era. Among them, ``CORRIDORS OF BLOOD'' which includes the 1983 Osaka performance which was made into a press CD, and ``RUN THROUGH THE NIGHTS'' which contains the 1985 Nagoya and Tokyo performance, are included in the entire world tour. It was also recorded with one of the best sound quality. However, among the many excellent titles, there is no one other than ``PRAY FOR VICTIMS'' that stands out from the crowd. This work is a recording of the performance at Nippon Budokan in Tokyo on February 29th from the Japan tour accompanying the release of "VICTIMS OF THE FUTURE" in 1984. Taper, who was in charge of this recording, is a person who left many wonderful recordings at hard rock/metal live in Japan in the 1980s, including DEEP PURPLE's 1985 Budokan performance "THRILL OF THE CHASE" and 1984 OZZY OSBOURNE. As you can see from listening to valuable records of the same era, such as the Tokyo performance "DEFINITIVE BARKS", here too the live performance is captured with high sound quality that far exceeds the common sense and level of the time. This live, which was the last day of Gary's 1984 tour to Japan, had previously had "VICTIMS AT BUDOKAN" and its upgraded version "VICTOMS UNIT", and those already released were also known for their good sound. , the recording take of this board is not at that level. The clarity and wonderful outlook with no noise at all are overwhelming, and Gary's guitar is wonderfully contained with a thick and clear tone. Not only the guitar, but also the entire ensemble is recorded with a rich sense of separation and presence, and it is both easy to listen to and responsive, which is not even close to even a poor soundboard. Some people may say that they don't like the noise from the audience when recording an audience, but the great thing about this recording is that you can concentrate only on the musical sounds without worrying about the cheers and applause during the performance. Masu. However, you can experience a wonderful excitement between songs, and it is awe-inspiring because the highest sense of realism allows you to fully enjoy the heat that can only be experienced at a Budokan live performance! The more you listen to this 30 year old audience cassette recording, the more you will be surprised and wonder, ``How did they manage to make such an amazing recording?'' The sound that will surely take anyone to the Budokan on the day of the live performance from the opening song "Rock In' Every Night" is further refined after the second song "Wishing Well". The song's intense beat created by Ian Paice's drums and Craig Gruber's bass, along with Gary's overwhelming guitar sound, is sure to knock you out! In the following "Shapes Of Things", not only the guitar solo, but also the vocals that keep the high notes properly are really relaxed. As represented by these early musical sounds, Gary is showing off the best performance in '84 live with guitar play and vocal control. The support from the members, including Neil Carter's chorus, is excellent, and you can enjoy a cohesive performance with the best balance and symmetry. Gary's sound began to show flashy pop elements after "RUN FOR COVER," but at that time, it was a heavy and profound sound, with strong guitars like "Murder In The Skies" and "Cold Hearted." ” makes the listener faint in agony. Furthermore, “Don’t Take Me For A Loser”, which was not played at the end of this tour, is a big highlight of the live performance. Gary is able to sing high-pitched melodies that are difficult to maintain even for a full-time singer, and even in his solo performance, he lets you enjoy his melodious and rhythmic playing. The live highlight “Victims Of The Future” will greatly attract fans from the approximately 1 minute guitar intro featuring Spanish guitar. While the first half is lyrical, the song's thoughts that suddenly rise in the middle are very dramatic. Neil Carter's chorus also got the point, and you can see that the combination of Gary and Carter was great from that time. Furthermore, the guitar solo at around 6 minutes boasts a high degree of perfection, and is sure to make the listener fall in love with it. “So Far Away” and “Empty Rooms”, which Gary starts with the MC “Tonight, for all the women here”, are performances that can be said to be the pinnacle of Gary's crying ballads. The intro guitar is also recorded with such excellent sound quality that it can be said that there was no better recording at that time, and it will bring tears to the eyes of all fans. Disc 2 starts with the speedy and thrilling instrumental “Blinder”. After Ian Paice’s drum solo and Gary’s guitar solo, “End Of The World” will produce the biggest listening point of the live performance. With these you can clearly understand the high playability that the band had at the time. “Back On The Streets” explodes from the same song! The main set concludes with a powerful finale. The encore is a parade of songs that have rarely been played since the end of the 1984 tour. You can enjoy the wonderful sound quality from the first song "Nuclear Attack" and the second song "Rockin' And Rollin'". The excitement of the venue during these songs is truly amazing, and the erupting clap and applause, and calls of “Gary!” flying from everywhere, let you experience the excitement of a live performance in real life. The climax of this recording is the single song “Hold On To Love”, which is featured in the last encore! The melody line that stimulates the listener's lachrymal glands, the band's tight performance, the chorus that sings together as one in the venue, everything is an exquisite take, and the live performance of the same song has been preserved as an excellent audience take. I even feel grateful for that. In this recording, after the show, Gary MCs, saying, ``Tonight is the last concert of our Japan tour. We're heading home tomorrow. So, I'd like to thank everyone who came to the concert. See you next year.'' Completely recorded. The recording ends with thunderous applause. This work, which is a detailed record of the live performance from the audience seat at the time when the band's popularity in Japan was at its peak, promises fans a more satisfying listening experience than the official live "WE WANT MOORE!" Gary's audience source from the 1980s that is comparable to the level of this work has never been seen before, and it will be a little difficult to excavate it in the future. I declare that this literally unprecedented live album is a must-have for any Gary fan! Live at Budokan, Tokyo, Japan 29th February 1984 PERFECT SOUND(from Original Masters) Disc 1 1. Intro. 2.
