Starting with the studio live performances from the Coliseum II era in 1977, this album contains all the rare live performances from the golden 80s solo period when he made his debut into hard rock, all professional shots. The first solo work, "Rock Pop In Concert" on December 19, 1982, was a precious stage just before his historic first visit to Japan, with a band consisting of Ian Paice, Neil Murray, and John Sloman. In addition, from the Euro tour accompanying the release of "OGWT" in 1985, "OUT IN THE FIELDS" with Phil Lynott in the same year, and "AFTER THE WAR", the last album of the hard rock era, the performance in Belfast, Ireland on March 9, 1989, is a famous live performance with the strong rhythm section of Chris Slade and Bob Daisley, Gary and the great support, Neil Carter. Also featured on this disc are "Over Hills and Far Away," which was recorded on TV during his visit to Japan in 1987, and a return to a hard rock style performance from just before his death in 2010.
