The Johnny Edwards era is a gravitational singularity in FOREIGNER history. Introducing a soundboard album that will serve as an "official replacement" for the era when there were no official live albums. This work includes “London performance on July 15, 1991”. This is a stereo soundboard recording recorded at the famous club "Marquee" that carved out many legends in rock history. After Lou Gramm left the band in May 1990, FOREIGNER restarted with Johnny, formerly of MONTROSE/KING KOBRA. ``UNUSUAL HEAT'' was not a commercial success (though it did better than ``MR. MOONLIGHT'', in which Lou returned), but it did lead to Lou's return, but in between. We also did live activities. First, let's look back at the schedule and check the show's position. 1990《Summer: Johnny Edwards joins》・August 15th: Amaganset performance 1991《“UNUSUAL HEAT” released on June 14th》・July 6th-15th: Europe (5 performances)←★Here ★ ・August 9th - 26th: North America #1 (4 performances) ・September 6th + 7th: Venezuela (2 performances) ・September 12th - November 25th: North America #2 (26 performances)《1992 May: Johnny leaves》 [Leaked soundboard master that became the origin of FM broadcasting] This is FOREIGNER from the Johnny era. The tour accompanying "UNUSUAL HEAT" was held for about half a year, and then there was silence. Although there were changes in the keyboard and drummer, in the end there was no public activity and Lou returned. Under such circumstances, the marquee performance of this work was "Europe" immediately after the album was released. This was the last stage of the 5 showcase-like performances. This work recorded at such a show is truly the finest soundboard recording. Even if you say "sound board" in one word, there are various personalities, but this work is for so-called FM broadcasting. However, it is not the broadcast itself, but the original master that was originally obtained from the parties involved. It is a two-disc set that is much longer than the actual FM broadcast. Of course, the quality is also impeccable. The recording and mixing have been carefully thought out, and the sense of separation is outstanding. It is a live album that feels like a piece of music, and is worthy of being called ``official grade,'' as it has a rawness and beauty in its balance. What is depicted in such quasi-official quality is the extremely valuable stage version of Johnny FOREIGNER. The “UNUSUAL HEAT” number is an extremely rare song that will not be played on other tours, and the classics revived by Johnny’s singing voice are also super fresh. What kind of masterpieces can we expect from this work? Let's sort it out here. Classics (9 songs)・Glorious Departure: Long, Long Way From Home/Feels Like The First Time/Cold As Ice・Double Vision・Head Games: Dirty White Boy・4:Waiting For A Girl Like You /Urgent/Juke Box Hero ・Provocateur: I Want To Know What Love Is Unusual Heat (5 songs) ・Lowdown And Dirty/Moment Of Truth/I'll Fight For You/Only Heaven Knows/Ready For The Rain...and it looks like this. New songs, classics, everything is precious. This is a fresh live album from beginning to end. And Johnny's vocals are noteworthy, but this is quite tasteful. In "UNUSUAL HEAT", he sang similar to Lou, but in the live performance, his slightly husky, scratchy singing voice added depth and flavor to the pop melody. If Lou is "soulful", then Johnny is "bluesy" (Brian Howe, who was singing in BAD COMPANY at the same time, was very similar to Lou, so perhaps he would have been a better fit if they were traded) I don't know). [Introduction program of new work created from extremely rare promo CD] After the main part of the live show, there is a superb bonus track that lasts about 27 minutes. Includes the entire US Atlantic promo CD ``PROFILED! (PRCD 4007-2)''. This promo CD is an interview featuring Mick Jones and Johnny, but instead of a Q&A, the two perform songs from UNUSUAL HEAT such as "Lowdown and Dirty," "Only Heaven Knows," and "I'll Fight for You." The type that introduces the featured songs. Each song is performed almost in full length, and can be enjoyed as a radio program that serves as an introduction to UNUSUAL HEAT. A complete 27-minute promo CD is included in the completely official soundboard live performance. It is truly a definitive album of the Johnny Edwards era, along with "UNUSUAL HEAT", and if a deluxe edition of "UNUSUAL HEAT" is made possible, it is a "semi-official" music piece that I would like to have included in its entirety. Although it was a waste of time, the Johnny era gave us a "bluesy FOREIGNER" that could not be experienced anywhere else. A superb live album that serves as an "official replacement" from the Johnny Edwards era. This is a stereo soundboard recording of "July 15, 1991 Marquee Performance". It is a source leaked master of FM broadcasting, and its quality is "completely official level". The “UNUSUAL HEAT” number is an extremely rare song that will not be played on other tours, and the classics revived by Johnny’s husky singing voice are also super fresh. The promo CD ``PROFILED! (PRCD 4007-2)'', in which Johnny and Mick Jones introduce new songs, also includes the entire bonus, and is a quasi-official music work comparable to ``UNUSUAL HEAT.''
