Introducing the latest live album from FOCUS, the famous band that opened the door to Euro progressive rock. 47 years after their formation, they are still active and still performing live. He also toured in 2016, and this work was recorded at “Loreley Performance on July 16, 2016.” This is an audience album from when they appeared at the German prog festival "NIGHT OF THE PROG". This festival started in 2006, and 2016 marks the 11th time. This year, in addition to modern prog heavyweights such as ANEKDOTEN, SPOCK'S BEARD & NEAL MORSE, and ANIMA MUNDI, classic bands such as LUCIFER'S FRIEND, HAWKWIND, and CARL PALMERS ELP LEGACY will also be participating. It was a huge event with a total of 19 groups performing over three days. This year was FOCUS' first time participating in the festival, and they appeared fifth out of seven groups on the second day. The biggest flavor of this work is the wonderful sound. In addition to the clearness of zero reverberation typical of recent outdoor festivals, the core of the musical sound was also extremely thick, probably due to the closeness of the PA. If you listen closely with headphones, you can hear a faint sound of the audience in the "ringing" of the snare drum, but other than that, there is no other recording that feels like a guest recording. Each note of the guitar, keyboard, and bass is extremely clear, and the complex ensemble is vividly conveyed. The audience plays a role in its shining clarity. Since it's a summer outdoor festival, it's no surprise that it's as loud as a summer festival, but the audience for this work was listening intently as if it were a Japanese performance. Of course, between songs, applause erupts, and it is a recording that makes you realize once again the size of the venue. The latest FOCUS drawn with that quality is also wonderful. Perhaps because it's a festival, I limited myself to just two songs from my latest album, "FOCUS A spectacular collection of famous songs. In addition to the blockbuster ``Eruption,'' they played plenty of other masterpieces such as ``Focus I'' and ``Focus III,'' as well as an expanded version of their signature song ``Hocus Pocus,'' which is about 18 minutes long. Furthermore, the performance itself that depicts such a gorgeous set is also vivid. Only the originators Theis van Leer and Pierre van der Linden know about the golden era, but Theis' son-in-law Bobby Jacobs (bass) and Menno Hotes (guitarist), who joined the company for six years, are the only ones who know about the golden era. ) is also a more than capable technician. The masterpieces of yesteryear are updated splendidly, and even the masterpieces are completed with thrilling performances that will make you forget the time. FOCUS opened up the possibilities of rock, which had been monopolized only by the UK and the US, and forced people to pay attention to European bands. This is a masterpiece that allows you to fully enjoy the vivid progressive rock with the latest sounds of 2016. The latest sound news from them. This is a must-listen for those of you who still love Euro rock. Live at Freilichtbuhne Loreley, St. Goarshausen, Germany 16th July 2016 TRULY PERFECT/ULTIMATE SOUND Disc 1(49:47) 1.
