It was the pioneer and pinnacle of a new generation of piano trios that can be enjoyed beyond jazz, and was praised highly by Keith Jarrett, who never praises others.Already considered a legend, it is one of the younger piano trios that are still emerging one after another. Introducing a 3-disc set with a gorgeous coupling of the benchmark E.S.T.'s two outstanding performances! ! ! Esbjorn Svensson, a talented Swedish pianist, formed a trio with bassist Dan Berglund and drummer Magnus Ostrom in 1993 at the age of 29, and died in 2008 at the young age of 44 due to an accident. He passed away...Initially, his performance was strongly influenced by Keith Jarrett, but he created a unique E.S.T. sound, centering on a total ensemble as a trio, using an electrified piano and diversified rhythms. He launched a turbulent trilogy, ``From Gagarin's Point of View'' in 1999, ``Good Morning'' in 2000, and ``Strange Places'' in 2001. It was the beginning of a new generation of piano trios that took a 180-degree turn from the philosophy of a typical jazz piano trio! E.S.T.'s groundbreaking trilogy was released on November 1, 2001 in Berlin, Germany. The setlist was a condensed version of the trilogy, and the label's own careful mastering was applied to the highest quality sound. A live performance recorded on a stereo soundboard and, as the title suggests, a tour accompanying the announcement of "Viaticum", which means the sacrament of death in Christian terms, with a dark and European-like sound that leaves a deep taste. Coupling two great performances from the 20th May 2005 live performance at The Barbican in London, UK, which was completely recorded for 2 hours in the highest quality stereo sound with the label's own careful mastering.
