This work is a complete recording of the Nippon Budokan performance on October 21st from the 1993 Japan tour, which returned to Tokyo after visiting Nagoya, Fukuoka, and Osaka. This performance was held following the Osaka performance on the 19th. The master of this work is also a DAT master that is completely different from the previous release, which we independently obtained at the same time as the other two performances, and has achieved the highest sound quality that is comparable to the high-quality previous release released in recent years. I am. The previously-released version is characterized by raising the mid-bass range considerably to give it a powerful feel, but this version's mid-to-high range is originally very clear and well-balanced, giving it a natural sound image. Moreover, this master is superior to the sound quality of the two Osaka performances released at the same time, which was evaluated as “excellent level” this time. High-quality recordings of Eric Clapton's series of performances in Japan ("British Pride", "Perpetual Black", "Caught In The Act", "No Turning Back", "Two Edged Sword", "Gold Flavor", "Principle Of God", "Definition of Legacy") ”, “Journey Of Faith”, “Terminal Port”, etc.), Japan's leading taper has finally presented the ultimate master. How can I express this high quality sound? Without the audience's cheers and applause, it sounds like a high-quality sound board recording, and even the sounds of the bass drum and bass tom, which are usually difficult to capture in audience recordings, are clearly captured. And all the drum sounds are so natural that you can hear them in their original tone as Richie Hayward struck them. If I had to describe this sound quality, it would be "superlative." Speaking of Clapton's play, he is in great condition because he has returned to his favorite Budokan again. On this day, the second half of the blues Crossroads and Groaning The Blues are listening to the furious playing. The highlight of this master is the scene where the surrounding audience gets excited all at once during the guitar solo of Tearing Us Apart. This is probably because Clapton came to the front of the recording area and played a solo. In other words, in this part, you can see that the position of the recording person was near the front row on either the left or right side of the stage. It can be said that it is a very vivid scene, and the fact that Clapton moved from place to place and took a solo shows how much he was riding on this day. Also, on this day at Cocaine, he started playing a solo using the wah-wah pedal, which is rare on this tour. In the second half of the solo, the pedal is pressed down, but you can hear a solo with a different flavor from the second Osaka performance. This disc, which contains the "ultra-superior" sound quality and the best master ever, which we confidently recommend, can be declared the definitive audience source that includes the Budokan performance of this tour.
