From Eric Clapton's 1993 Japan tour, we will deliver a title that completely records the first day of the Osaka Castle Hall performance on October 18th. At the time after this tour ended, the pre-release version released on press CD had the title "Osaka Castle Hall October 18th". In addition, the same day sound source released in recent years also used the same source as this “Osaka Castle Hall October 18th”. The master of this board uses a DAT master newly discovered by our store, which is completely different from those. The biggest advantage is that because it is DAT, the sound quality is overwhelmingly superior to those. You can feel the difference in the quality of the master itself. Therefore, there is no doubt that this board will reign as the definitive version of this day. As for the disadvantages, there is a slight "fluffy" noise in the first two songs, and there is a change in phase due to the microphone direction changing in the songs 44 and White Room, but the former is not noticeable. The latter is because the volume of the performance suddenly increased, and when the recorder, concerned about this, checked the equipment to adjust the input level, the direction (position) of the microphone changed, causing a change in sound quality. Considering that there is no such thing, this can be said to be a level that is not a concern. Other than this, this is the best master recorded with impeccable, clear, natural, and outstanding sound balance. As you know, this tour could be said to be the eve of the blues-soaked “Nothin’ But the Blues Tour” which was held from the following year. In addition to blues, the set was full of variety and included hit songs and acoustic numbers, making it a unique and attractive set. Among them, there were many interesting things about this day, such as during the Jimi Hen number Stone Free ending, Clapton deliberately used aggressive phrasing without causing feedback, and during Tearing Us Apart, he decided on a thrilling solo with a series of tricks. I'm doing it. He also plays amazing solos on Crossroads and Groaning The Blues, and you will be amazed at his power. It is generally said that the quality of the play the next day was better than the performance at the same venue the next day, but you can see on this board the performance that overturns that evaluation.
