This week, we have a lineup of audience shots with a total time of 140 minutes, which will be the first public release of Eric Clapton. On August 17th, at the end of the 1990 "Journeyman US Tour", the first day performance at the famous venue Nassau Coliseum was recorded in full with good image quality and sound on 2DVD volumes. This video was recently uploaded to the Internet, but it is a strangely high-quality video that has not been released until now. A long audience shot with low quality only accumulates stress, but this board is of such high quality that it seems as if it was shot with a single camera angle of a professional shot for editing. The angle was shot in favorable conditions with no obstacles, such as the first floor stand at the Budokan, slightly to the left of the front, and most of the scenes capturing Clapton with a knee up, and it is clear enough to see his facial expression. The entire film is recorded with very thorough camera work, with occasional pull-out shots and the camera properly pointed at the members being featured. The sound is mono, but very good. If you are a rock fan, you should definitely watch this video at least once. The Journeyman Tour was a hot topic because of Clapton's Italian fashion model-like appearance with his long hair and black Versace suit, and he started off with an aggressive stage performance with wah-wah stomping. In Bad Love and Layla, you can see Clapton's famous "cigarette holder on the guitar head," even though he was still a smoker at the time. This was the period when Clapton was most "rock" in his solo career, and his hard-edged playing exploded, drawing the audience in. At the beginning, Clapton announced that he was dedicating this performance to Curtis Mayfield, whom he respects. It was probably in memory of Mayfield, who was involved in a falling lighting device at a concert venue that year and became partially paralyzed as a result of the aftereffects. Also, the date August 17th may ring a bell for Clapton enthusiasts, but it was 10 days before Stevie Ray Vaughan died in a tragic accident while traveling to the next venue after performing with Clapton at the Alpine Valley concert. At the time of this video, Clapton was honing his playing while looking forward to performing with Ray Vaughan. The two also performed together at the Auburn Hill concert on April 15th, the first leg of this tour, and Clapton must have been looking forward to reuniting and performing with Ray Vaughan. You can feel his highly motivated performance directly from this video. Please enjoy the amazing stage performance from the time when Clapton was at his most fulfilling both physically and mentally.
