This full-length recording of the 1987 Euro tour following the release of "August" features the first performance in Rotterdam, Netherlands, on January 16th, recorded from the highest quality audience master ever. This previously circulated audience recording has been reissued with pitch adjustment and state-of-the-art digital remastering. While a soundboard recording of this performance also exists, it was cut for broadcast purposes, so if you want to hear the full performance, this is the place to go. This tour featured a completely new backing band, with Mark Knopfler joining the band full-time. The setlist was also completely different from the previous tour in 1985, and the performance kicked off with a bang with "Crossroads"—a truly refreshing experience. As expected, Knopfler's playing is superb at key points, especially on the 17-minute-plus "Same Old Blues," "I Shot the Sheriff," and "Miss You," as well as the thrilling "Layla."
