We will combine two unreleased Eric Clapton sound sources and first appearance masters and release them on 4CD! Discs 1 & 2 are a complete recording of the Auburn Hills, Michigan performance on April 15th from the 1990 “Journeyman US Tour” with a very good stereo audience recording. The master uses one that was recently uploaded on the Internet, but the person who uploaded it says that it is a second generation, and although it is the same source as the source recorded on the previous release, it is completely "fresh". are different. Furthermore, this includes added value unique to our store. Actually, the master as it was uploaded on the internet had some drawbacks, most importantly the tape pitch was off by about 1/4. What's more, errors were occurring at random points throughout the source. At our store, we have carefully verified this and corrected the pitch to normal at all locations to resolve this issue. Furthermore, the sound quality of the original master was very thick in the bass range and unclear in the treble range, so we mastered the two ranges to create the best balance, creating a clear texture. The clarity is also outstanding. If you listen to it and compare it with the original master on the internet, you will find that the sharp sound quality has been greatly improved. Now, this is a performance that can be heard with this sound quality, but the biggest highlight is that the late Stevie Ray Vaughan jumped in. He engages in intense guitar battles with Clapton on two songs, Before You Accuse Me and After Midnight. Considering that Stevie performed with Clapton again on the summer tour of this year, he passed away immediately after this, and as this is the last collaboration between Stevie and Clapton, this album is a must-have for fans of both parties and blues fans. If so, it's definitely something you must listen to. Anyway, this guitar battle is amazing! Before ~, the first solo is Clapton, the second solo is Stevie, and the third solo has a heated interplay between the two. In After ~, the first solo is Stevie and the second solo is Clapton, but it's really a head-on battle where both are competing for their own identity. It can be asserted that this is the only sound quality that allows you to fully grasp the whole picture of the interplay between these two people. Clapton has continued to make outstanding plays even in his regular repertoire. Perhaps Stevie Ray Vaughan's arrival was known in advance, and that may have heightened Clapton's excitement. Also, a special instrumental number is played before Sunshine Of Your Love on this day, but this is Frank Sinatra's "Stranger In The Night" which leads to the reveal of the solo in the middle. . Clapton quoted the phrase from the A melody of this song in his solo. It can be said to be quite an elaborate production, but that's probably because Clapton and the band were on board. The master discs 3 & 4 are also sound sources that were recently uploaded on the internet, and are completely recorded with a very good stereo audience recording of the Cleveland, Ohio performance on April 17th, two days after the Auburn Hills performance. . This source was from a time when there was no existing release, so it is surprising that such a high quality sound source has appeared now. However, this online master also had various drawbacks. ?The pitch was about 1/4th of a tone, and it was randomly out of tune depending on the part. ?The sound quality was too emphasized in the bass range, making it fluffy and unclear. ?The contact sound of the recording microphone was heard here and there, as heard on discs 1-2. ?The recorder edited the tape change part himself, but it was quite a sloppy process. In contrast, our store uses careful mastering, which is now well-received, to completely eliminate ? and ?, creating a crisp texture, and by reducing and relaxing ? and ? as much as possible, it creates a more natural flow. (The missing parts of the original masters Wonderful Tonight and Layla are difficult to fix and remain the same, but the connection has been made smoother in these songs as well). As a result, the sound quality has improved significantly compared to the original master, making it easier to listen to, and the editing traces and missing parts have become more natural. This disc has been transformed into what can be declared the best version of this sound source. Masu. Although there were no special guests on this day, the performance of the regular repertoire was by far the most fulfilling. I thought that the hard numbers from the beginning and Running On Faith would calm the audience down, but they excited the audience with their high-tension playing. And then I Shot The Sheriff and White Room. The first half of this breathtaking development is already announcing the arrival of the highlight. Even when things fall into a slump in the second half, the play continues, and is full of developments that will take your breath away and make your hands sweat. It is noteworthy that After Midnight was played instead of Lay Down Sally, which was played regularly on this day. Perhaps this is not unrelated to the fact that it was the number he performed with Stevie Ray Vaughan at the Auburn Hills performance two days ago. It may be said that Clapton, inspired by Stevie, brought the same tension to this performance. If you think about it, this album and "Auburn Hills 1990" can be said to be great titles that can be enjoyed as a pair. The ``Journeyman World Tour'' ended in great success. Evidence of this can be seen in both US tour performances that played a central role.
