Eric Clapton has successfully finished his 50th anniversary tour since his professional debut, but it's been a long time since he's appeared in a new title! Included is a very good stereo audience performance of the previously unreleased February 28 Capital Center performance in Landover, Maryland, from the 1983 "Money and Cigarettes U.S. Tour". It's the sauce. We are using a master that was recently uploaded to the internet, but we have upgraded it to a level that is worthy of being released in the press. The points of improvement and remastering are: Firstly, we have successfully corrected the pitch of the master, which was a little slow. In addition, the original master sound had been phase-inverted, resulting in a sound image that lacked the unique bass, so we changed the quality of the treble to improve the sound quality with more spaciousness. Additionally, the volume at the beginning of Tulsa Time was extremely low, so we raised the volume level afterward to make it easier to listen to. However, please be advised that the deterioration in sound quality at the beginning of Layla could not be corrected due to an inherent flaw in the master (in addition, in Layla, the sound quality deteriorated to a monaural quality until just before entering the piano coda). The other parts have been remastered and have been reborn into a very crisp and solid sound. In addition to this high sound quality, the most wonderful thing is that Clapton's play quality on this day is outstanding. I Shot The Sheriff starts with a solo after the end and quickly reaches full throttle. In I've Got A Rock n' Roll Heart, he shows his leeway by adding obbligato while singing. I haven't heard much about this. And Blues Power's solo shows how he is completely playing. The slow blues medley that follows is a devilish performance. Cocaine and Layla's solos are also a storm of passionate phrases. Even when it comes to the encore, you can enjoy Clapton flying around. A relatively large number of sound sources from this year's "Money and Cigarettes Tour" have been released, including soundboards, but I think it is rare to find one that has been in such good shape. It is clearly better than the Bremen performance on April 20th, which is said to be a great sound source. Also, Blackie's tone heard on this record is wonderful, and the original withered tone of this guitar is the best. If Clapton were to put this guitar into his hands, you'll hear a deep tone that makes you wonder how much he would sing or how much he would cry. It seems that he changed to a brown sunburst Strat). I can't help but be surprised that a previously unreleased sound source was suddenly unearthed and it turned out to be such a treasure. This album is a must-listen not only for Clapton enthusiasts, but also for rock fans who want to hear Clapton's best playing at the age of 38. The bonus includes Ry Cooder's opening act sound source of the day, which was recorded by the same person who recorded the master of this disc, so there is also the benefit of being able to enjoy the show in its complete form. Please take this opportunity to order. Live at Capital Center, Landover, Maryland, USA 28th February 1983 TRULY AMAZING/PERFECT SOUND Disc 1 (44:35) 1. Intro. 2. After Midnight 3.
