The best audience shot footage of the latest European tour, the Royal Albert Hall performance, is here again! From Eric Clapton's latest 2024 European tour, which took place from May to June this year, which ended successfully, we recently released a wonderful audience shot video of the first day's performance at the Royal Albert Hall in London on May 20th, but this time, the wonderful video of the second day will also be released. This video is a high-quality multi-cam video like the first day. There are two main angles. One is a close-up video from the second floor stand seats slightly to the right of the stage, and the other is a super close-up video from the stand seats just to the right of the stage. These two are skillfully switched at key points. Both shots are of high quality and you will never get tired of watching them. In addition, the audio is a high-quality stereo audience recording with amazing sound. The multi-cam switching is also skillfully cross-faded, and the audio uses high-quality sources throughout, so there is no change in sound quality due to the camera switching. It is recorded with a really beautiful picture quality, good sound, and impeccable excellent quality. This editing is amazing, just like the first day. On this day, Clapton looked like a gray shirt, gray jacket, and jeans. He also played the Stratocaster painted in the colors of the Palestinian flag, which he used at the "SAVE A CHILD Concert (For GAZA Children)" (the video has already been released on DVD at our store), which was held as a charity concert in support of Gaza in December last year. The great attraction of this tour is that the set list was significantly changed from the previous year's tour, and several rare numbers are set in from newly written new songs. Fans will be very happy just to be able to watch the latest tour stage with this high-quality video that has just appeared. The band members have not changed from last year's tour, except for the keyboardist Paul Carrack, who has been replaced by Tim Carmon, a familiar member of the Clapton band. Therefore, the encore number has changed from High Time We Went, which featured Carrack in recent years! Surrounded by a reliable and talented band of performers who perform rock-solid music, Clapton delivers a very fulfilling performance, including a surprise. This is a wonderful video that is perfectly recorded from the opening to the final greeting scene with all the members. Please take a look. The unexpected set list, which is different from last year's tour, is attractive! As expected of Clapton. Even at the age of 79, he started the tour in good health and performed great stages every day in his hometown of London! Moreover, instead of the same old set of the past few years, he changed the set list, including a surprise. First of all, the opening was surprising. This instrumental song, titled Blue Dust, was dedicated to Jeff Beck, who passed away last year, and was a variation of Blue Rainbow, which was first performed at a Japan performance in April of the same year! Who would have thought that he was already working on a variation of a new song that had not even been officially recorded yet... This alone shows Clapton's vigorous creativity. There are more surprises to come. The first half of the electric set is closed with the new song Prayer of a Child. This song was released with new lyrics added to the instrumental song "Voice Of A Child" that was played at the beginning of the "SAVE A CHILD Concert (For GAZA Children)" charity concert held in December last year (the video has already been released on DVD at our store). Since it is a song with a strong message from Clapton to children suffering from the ravages of war, he probably wanted people to hear it as soon as possible. Moving on to the acoustic set, the title number from the 2005 album "BACK HOME" was played, Back Home. This song was also a super rare song that was only played at the beginning of the 2006 tour. Perhaps it also contains feelings for the people of Gaza who have lost their homes. There were daily changes in this acoustic set! On the first day, they played Driftin' Blues, but on the second day, they played the original song Golden Ring from "BACKLESS" released in 1978 instead. This was a number included in the project album "The Lady In The Balcony: Lockdown Sessions", which was recorded live in a studio at an old castle in England in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic. It seems that he liked the acoustic arrangement there and performed it at this performance. It was the first time in 46 years since the 1978 tour that he played it at a concert live in front of an audience. This can be said to be the highlight of the day. The first song after returning to the electric set was the powerful Dominos number, Got to Get Better in a Little While. It was also featured for the first time in a long time in the aforementioned "SAVE A CHILD Concert (For GAZA Children)", and Clapton was able to enjoy the dynamic play for the first time in a long time, so it is thought that he set it in. Sonny Emory's outstanding stick handling is also amazing here. From here, Clapton plays a dark blue Strat. On the first day, they played the famous Blind Faith song Presence of the Lord, but on the second day, they played You Were There, which they played at the Liverpool concert on May 11th, instead of this song. This is a dramatic number from the 1998 album "PILGRIM" that expresses gratitude to their manager at the time. This song was only performed live once, at the encore of the Earl's Court concert in London on October 15th of the same year. It has been 26 years since then. I would like to ask Clapton himself why he set this song now. Clapton's solo at the end is also dramatic and great. And another big surprise! The following Crossroads is played in a boogie arrangement, not the usual rhythm! This is rare, and the performance is thrilling. I wish they would keep doing this arrangement forever. And just when I thought there would be no more surprises, Nathan East played a song called Close To Home by Lyle Mays as a prologue before Cocaine as a special production of this tour. And there was another surprise at the very end. The encore was Clapton's favorite blues song, Before You Accuse Me. Andy Fairweather Low, who was the opening act, jumped in here. Listening to this, you can see that the artist Clapton put together a set list thinking of many things and many people. Of course, the most fundamental desire is to play, but it seems that he wants to put his own feelings into it and perform it. A lost best friend, a world of constant war, an admired bluesman, his career so far. This set list and this live performance are the result of various thoughts coming and going in Clapton's heart. Please note that Layla and Wonderful Tonight are not included. Perhaps this means that classic love songs are no longer necessary to express the current Clapton. Nevertheless, he has created a fulfilling stage. Royal Albert Hall, London, UK 21st May 2024 AMAZING SHOT!!! 1. Blue Dust 2. Key To Them Highway 3. I'm Your Hoochie Coochie Man 4. Badge 5.
