Eric Clapton has energetically resumed his concert activities. This week, we will be releasing a complete recording of the stage on May 21st, the second to last day of the 6th performance of the 7 consecutive performances at the Royal Albert Hall, with excellent sound quality! The recording was made by the famous taper who lives in London and is already familiar to everyone from our UK concert recordings. (This week's new Paul McCartney performances in London and Birmingham were also performed by the same Mr. Taper.) Although the sound quality slightly captures the unique reverberation of the dome-shaped RAH, it is a very straight sound and well-balanced recording. I am. If I were to describe it in one word, it would be "beautiful sound." Everything from the sound of Steve Gadd's bass drum to the delicate tone of Clapton's acoustic guitar is well captured, and there is no problem with ease of listening. Moreover, there are no problems during recording. The sixth day's performance, which you could listen to with clear sound, had a topic unique to that day. The highlight has to be I Shot The Sheriff. Clapton himself has positioned this song as a touchstone number that predicts his mood that day, and has produced many great performances, but on this day, Clapton is in a particularly good mood. In the introduction part of the solo after the performance, it starts playing smoothly without any mistones. And the delicious phrases come out one after another. Towards the end, Clapton's slow and fast technique becomes clearer. The audience erupts into applause as the super-fast phrases close to the end. It was so exciting that for a moment you couldn't hear the band's music. You can understand how impressive this play was just by listening to this part. And in the acoustic set Tears In Heaven, Clapton commented that he would dedicate it to his aunt Sylvia who came to the venue. This Aunt Sylvia is the widow of the uncle to whom Clapton dedicated his album "REPTILE". He is also the person who gave me the last song of this album, Son And Sylvia. It's no surprise that Clapton's playing was amplified on this day when Aunt Sylvia came all the way from Canada. It seems that the performances on this day and the day before were officially video recorded for future release. Since Clapton wrote at the beginning of the concert pamphlet, “This is the last,” it is quite possible that he was conscious of this performance as a candidate for the last live video work. Also, during the highlight song Cocaine at the end of the show, a middle-aged couple who had been watching in the arena crowded in front of the stage and suddenly started dancing. There are reports that the audience was more captivated by the middle-aged couple's dance, which seemed to be having so much fun, than by Clapton's play (what did Clapton think?). I think it will be fun to examine these various episodes with the clear sound of this album. The sound source of this day has not been uploaded to the internet at the moment, so this disc is the only and best sound source recording disc. Please place your order as soon as possible.
