Eric Clapton's respect and admiration for the late J.J. Cale was at such a level that fans were surprised to see that Eric Clapton admired him that much. It can be said that one of his goals in his 46-year career, since he featured Cale's After Midnight on his first solo album released in 1970, has been to "assimilate" Cale's music. We will release the valuable sound source when Clapton finally invited Cale, who has a heavy back, to his performance with the highest sound quality ever! This is a complete recording of the San Diego performance on March 15, 2007 with a good stereo audience recording. The audience source for this day was a previously released version titled “The Road To San Diego.” This time, our store has acquired the ``first generation master, which is completely different from the previously released version'', which the British heavyweight Taper directly obtained from his core American Clapton enthusiast network. The previously released version was also recorded in stereo, but the recording position was a little far from the stage, and the sound was rough and hard. Also, in After Midnight, the stereo sound field was suddenly recorded as extremely narrow monaural, and there were some places where the phase suddenly changed from stereo to monaural. Furthermore, there is a problem with a lot of audience noise, and at Cocaine, where Cale was in attendance, there seems to have been some trouble near the recorder, and a woman's high-pitched scream of "Get out!" is heard over and over again, a fatal situation. There was also. The sound of this edition also feels a little distant from the stage, but compared to the previously released editions, the stereo sound field is much wider, and the scale and atmosphere of this venue are accurately reflected, and the sound is It is clear and detailed, giving a completely different impression. In short, the entire album is recorded with very easy-to-listen sound. There are no problems. The middle sitting session in which Cale participated is such that you can clearly hear the unique playing nuances of Clapton, Cale, and Derek Trucks. Moreover, there is almost no annoying audience noise. You will surely be pleased that a high-quality master that far exceeds the existing master has been discovered here. This stage co-starring with J.J. Cale was the last for Clapton during Cale's lifetime (although there were studio co-stars after this). In fact, at the start of this tour, Clapton had asked Cale to join him as a regular band member. However, there is an episode in which Cale declined to participate, saying, ``Such a flashy place doesn't suit me. It suits my personality to stay in Tulsa and play the music I like.'' Therefore, this day's stage must have been a memorable and precious moment where Clapton's own wish finally came true. Continuing from the previous year, this tour was conducted with a triple guitar lineup featuring Doyle Bramhall II and Derek Trucks, and it is also attractive that the now nostalgic electric Layla is played with full force. Also, the three consecutive numbers from the Derek & The Dominos era, Got To Get Better In A Little While, Little Wing, and Anyday are also powerful. Even better, Robert Cray, who served as the opening act for this tour, jumped into the encore Crossroads and collaborated with Clapton on lead vocals and guitar solo. This Crossroads is also very impressive. With this sound quality, even if you have the previously released version, I would definitely say it's worth buying again. Please enjoy Clapton's last live performance with the late J.J. Cale on the new master with the highest sound quality ever. Live at iPay One Center, San Diego, CA.
