A complete recording of the April 5th Moline, Illinois performance at the beginning of the 1998 "Pilgrim" US tour with a very good stereo audience recording. The master used is one uploaded on the internet, but the sound balance has been further adjusted by original mastering to make it easier to listen to. What is noteworthy about this sound source is that you can listen to Sick and Tired, a number recorded in the album “Pilgrim” that was only played in the early stages of the tour. This number stood out as a blues-like, hard-driving number on the album, but around the time of this performance, it was criticized by an American PTA organization for the radical part of the lyrics, ``I'll take revenge on you with a shotgun.'' , has become a social problem. Therefore, there is an episode in which Clapton dropped this number from the set list in subsequent performances in order to avoid further stimulating the public. Therefore, being able to listen to this number is a valuable thing that can only be seen in the early performances. The highlight of the day had to be Old Love. Anyway, Clapton's fiery solo here is a must-listen. The sound quality has a stereo feel, the sounds are close, and the sounds of each instrument are distinct, and although the sound is a little harder than the press title, it is powerful. You can also hear the interaction with the accompanying string orchestra, and it's hard to rank "Pilgrimage to Miami" as a sound source that is worth listening to. I think you can enjoy the large-scale staging that takes full advantage of the triple guitar and orchestral effects on this album as well. Live at Mark Of The Quad Cities, Moline, IL.
