The best audience shot footage from the latest European tour, Nimes, France! Eric Clapton's latest 2024 European tour has finally begun, and we have decided to release a wonderful audience shot footage from the Nimes, France performance that took place on May 31st! You can enjoy it as the perfect video to follow the release of the Royal Albert Hall 2024, 4DAYS2 title this week. Nimes is a historic city that has existed since ancient Roman times in the Gard department in the south of France, and this is the stage where the festival was held at the Roman amphitheater Nimes Arena, one of the famous places here. The angle is shot from the arena seats, slightly forward to the left towards the stage, and the angle centered on Clapton and Doyle Bramhall is very easy to see. The image quality is also beautiful, and above all, Clapton, who appeared late in the afternoon, is wearing a thick coat because the local climate is cold, and from the second song, he is on stage with a very unusual look with a cap on, worrying about the strong wind. As the stage progresses, the sun sets, and by the end of the show, the performance is in the dark. The outdoor festival situation is rare, so you can enjoy watching it with Clapton's looks. However, for some reason, the cameraman of the main part did not shoot the acoustic set in the middle, but only shot the electric set in the first and second half, so it is not a complete recording. Therefore, we have joined another video that recorded the acoustic set. This angle is a large close-up image from the front of the arena seats, and it is a wonderful video that even shows Clapton's facial expression. However, this part is not a complete recording of each song, but a digest connected, but by being able to insert this part, you can enjoy the natural progression of the concert. In addition, the encore, Sunshine Of Your Love, was not included in the main part, but this was also supplemented by our shop from another video source. The angle of the video of this song is from a position slightly to the left of the main cameraman, and it is almost the same direction as the main part, so there is no sense of incongruity at all. The image quality is also beautiful. Clapton, from the beginning of the day, played the Stratocaster painted in the colors of the Palestinian flag, which he used at the "SAVE A CHILD Concert (For GAZA Children)" (the video has already been released on DVD at our store), a charity concert in support of Gaza in December last year. The big attraction of this tour is that the set list has been significantly changed from the previous tour, and several rare numbers are set in, from newly written songs. Fans will be very happy just to be able to watch the latest stage with this high-quality video. The only change in the band members is that the keyboard has been replaced by Paul Carrack, who has been replaced by Tim Carmon, a familiar member of the Clapton band, and the rest is the same as last year's tour. Therefore, the encore number has changed from High Time We Went, which featured Carrack in recent years! Surrounded by reliable and talented members who perform solid performances, Clapton is showing a very fulfilling performance, including a surprise. Please take a look. The unexpected set list, which is different from last year's tour, is attractive! As for this work, since the acoustic set has not been recorded, we can only highlight the highlights of the electric set, but even so, rare songs are included on this day. First of all, the opening of the instrumental song Blue Dust, dedicated to the late Jeff Beck, shows that the playing is getting smoother with each passing day. The new song Prayer of a Child, which decorates the end of the first half of the electric set. This song was released with new lyrics added to the instrumental song "Voice Of A Child" that was played at the beginning of the aforementioned "SAVE A CHILD Concert (For GAZA Children)". It is likely that Clapton included it in the set list as soon as possible, as it is a song that contains a strong message from Clapton to children suffering from the ravages of war. The first song in the second half of the electric set is the powerful Dominos number, Got to Get Better in a Little While. It was also featured for the first time in a long time in the aforementioned "SAVE A CHILD Concert (For GAZA Children)", and Clapton was able to enjoy a dynamic play for the first time in a long time, so it is thought that it was included in the set. Sonny Emory's outstanding stick handling in the drum solo in the middle is also wonderful. From here, Clapton plays a dark blue Stratocaster. And the biggest surprise of the day was That's All Right, which was played after this. This number was played as an encore at the previous Liverpool performance, but it was special that it was played in this position on this day. After that, I thought there would be no more surprises, but as a special production for the second half of this tour, Nathan East played a song called Close To Home by Lyle Mays as a prologue before Cocaine. And there was one more surprise at the very end. The encore was Sunshine of Your Love, which was the first of its kind on this tour! Listening to this, you can see that the artist Clapton put together a set list thinking of many things and many people. Of course, it's natural that he wants to play at the root of it all, but it seems that he wants to show it with his own feelings. His lost best friend, a world of constant war, his admired bluesman, his career so far. This set list and this live performance are the result of various thoughts that came to Clapton's mind. And he shows his careful consideration by changing the set every day. That's why I want to check out all the performances.
