The best multi-cam audience shot video of the 2024 European tour, Nimes, France, has appeared! From Eric Clapton's successfully concluded 2024 spring European tour, a wonderful multi-cam audience shot video of the Nimes, France performance on May 31 has now appeared! This is an original video obtained from overseas through our own network. Our shop has already released the audience video of this day as "Nime 2024: The Video", but this video is a pseudo-complete version that mixes multiple videos, and the image quality is better than the previous one, and the Sunshine Of Your Love is included, making the whole 20 minutes longer. If you watch this work, you will be able to understand the stage progress of this day in more detail. Nimes is a historical city that has existed since the ancient Roman era in the Gard department in the south of France, and this is the stage when the festival was held at one of the attractions here, the Roman amphitheater Arene de Nimes. This stage seems to have started in the late afternoon, and the sun began to set halfway through the acoustic set. There are a total of four angles. The main angle is from an angle of about 60 degrees to the left of the stage on the first floor stand of the stadium, and the pull-out captures almost the entire stage, while the zoom-in shot captures Clapton's entire body properly. It is an excellent angle that points the camera at the members taking solos. This alone is easy to see, and as a sub-angle, there is a shot of the second floor stand, a shot of an angle slightly overlooking the stage from about 60 degrees to the right toward the stage, and as a finer sub-angle, there is also a shot of the front of the ground seats in front of the stage, and a shot from the front slightly to the left. Sometimes this angle is split into two, and only the encore's Sunshine Of Your Love has a shot from an angle of about 45 degrees in the same direction as the main angle. There are no obstacles in front of all the angles, and you can enjoy various angles so far, so you will never get bored. The sound is also covered with a good stereo audience source throughout, and there is no interruption in sound or change in sound quality even when switching angles. Clapton's look on this day was a navy blue shirt, blue jeans, and a cashmere-like blue long coat. His suit was good, but his long coat was also cool. The guitar was a Stratocaster painted in the colors of the Palestinian flag. The producer of this work seems to be a big Clapton fan, and in the intro, the studio version of Layla was played as background music, and a mountain of equipment was shown in the backyard (the entrance to the venue), and at the end, he made a special end credits and used an instrumental version of One More Chance (not officially released) from Derek & The Dominos' unreleased second album session as background music, which is an editing that will make even enthusiasts smile. The situation of an outdoor festival is rare, so you can enjoy watching it along with Clapton's looks. The big attraction of this tour is that the set list was significantly changed from the previous tour, and several rare numbers from newly written songs are set in. Just being able to watch it in this high-quality video will be a great pleasure for fans. The band members have not changed since last year's tour, except for the keyboardist Paul Carrack, who has been replaced by Tim Carmon, a familiar member of Clapton's band. Therefore, the encore number has changed from High Time We Went, which featured Carrack in recent years! Surrounded by reliable and talented members who perform a solid performance, Clapton has performed a very fulfilling performance, including a surprise. The unexpected set list, which is different from last year's tour, is attractive! Following the intro, the band members and Clapton's entrance scene is shown. The strength of this angle is that you can see the entrance. It is also the first time to see Sharon White, a backing chorus member, being led by her companion to the chorus stage. Normally, it would be enough for her to hold hands with Katie Kissoon, but there must be some reason for her. The opening instrumental song Blue Dust, dedicated to the late Jeff Beck, shows that Clapton's playing is getting smoother with each passing day, and he shows off a wonderful performance without any mistakes. In the intro to the following song, Key To The Highway, Clapton makes eye contact with Dan Deanly, the guitar tech at the side of the stage, and there is a rare scene where he asks him to bring a mustard-colored baseball cap. Perhaps it was cold or the wind was strong and his hair was messed up, making it difficult for him to concentrate on the performance. The first half of the electric set is closed with a new song, Prayer of a Child. This song is an instrumental song, "Voice Of A Child," that was played at the beginning of the charity concert "SAVE A CHILD Concert (For GAZA Children)" held at the end of the previous year, with new lyrics added. It is likely that Clapton added this song to the set list as soon as possible, as it contains a strong message for children suffering from the war. Moving on to the acoustic set, the title number from the 2005 album "BACK HOME," Back Home, is played. This song was also a super rare song that was only played at the beginning of the 2006 tour. Perhaps it also contains thoughts for the people of Gaza who lost their homes. And surprisingly, in this acoustic set, they played the original song Golden Ring from "BACKLESS" released in 1978. This was a number included in the project album "The Lady In The Balcony: Lockdown Sessions", which was recorded live in a studio at an old castle in England in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic. It seems that they liked the acoustic arrangement there and performed it on this tour. It was the first time in 46 years since the 1978 tour that they played it in a concert live in front of an audience. The first song in the second half of the electric set was the powerful Dominos number, Got to Get Better in a Little While. It was also featured for the first time in a long time in the aforementioned "SAVE A CHILD Concert (For GAZA Children)", and Clapton enjoyed playing full of dynamism for the first time in a long time, so it is thought that they included it in the set. Here too, in Sonny Emory's drum solo in the middle part after the break, you can see him hitting the cymbals while spinning sticks with both hands, and you can enjoy his outstanding stick handling. Perhaps Clapton was inspired by this, but the solo at the end is much more exciting than the guitar solo in the middle. If you watch this video, you can see that the signal to return to the closing phrase after Clapton's solo was that Clapton turned his body toward Emory while playing the solo. And the biggest surprise of the day was That's All Right, which was played after this. This number was played as an encore at the Liverpool performance on the second day of the tour, but it was special that it was played in this position on this day. After that, I thought there would be no more surprises, but as a special production for the second half of this tour, Nathan East played a song called Close To Home, written by Lyle Mays, as a prologue before Cocaine. During Cocaine, the audience in the ground seats were captured standing up. And there was one more surprise at the very end. The encore was Sunshine of Your Love, the first of its kind on this tour! Listening to this, you can see that the artist Clapton put together the setlist while thinking about many things and many people. Of course, the main thing is the desire to play, but it seems like he also wanted to put his own feelings into the performance. His lost best friend, a world of constant war, his idolized bluesman, his career so far. This setlist and this live performance are the result of many different thoughts going through Clapton's mind. And he also shows his careful consideration by changing the set every day. Arenes de Nimes, Nimes, France 31st May 2024 AMAZING SHOT!!! 1. Intro 2. Blue Dust 3. Key To The Highway 4.
