Finally here! The representative sound source of the latest European tour We have released three full-length recordings of Eric Clapton's latest European tour in succession, but we have not been blessed with a definitive version that can be released unconditionally as an audio master. However, it finally came true at the performance in Tampere, Finland on the final day of the tour! The best stereo audience master recorded in the best position, the 10th row from the front row of the arena seats, has appeared. As this position tells us, the entire work is recorded with excellent sound quality without any trouble, and our shop adopted it almost as it is with only a few fine adjustments. If you have to say, there is a microphone contact sound in the left channel at the beginning of Cocaine, which is also a very small sound, so the quality can be said to be almost perfect. Some people have been waiting for not only the video but also the audio disc that can be listened to. This work does not disappoint. A stage where you can feel the spirit of Clapton, who served his best until the end Let's take a look at Clapton's schedule up to this European tour again.・March 19th - Bahrain・May 7th and 8th - London (Royal Albert Hall)・May 17th - Zurich (postponed)・May 18th - Milan (postponed)・May 20th and 21st - Bologna (postponed)・May 29th - Berlin・May 31st - Stuttgart・June 2nd - Munich・June 4th - Vienna (cancelled)・June 5th - Prague・June 7th and 8th - Amsterdam・June 10th - Düsseldorf・June 12th - Antwerp・June 14th and 15th - Copenhagen・June 17th - Tampere (Finland) ←★here★・June 19th - St. Petersburg (Russia) (cancelled)・June 21st and 22nd - Moscow (Russia) [Cancelled] The performance postponed due to Clapton's own coronavirus infection was rescheduled to the fall, and the scheduled performance in Russia was canceled in denouncing Russia's invasion of Ukraine, so the Tampere performance was the final of this tour. In other words, this work is a recording of the stage of the last performance of the tour. The tour is nearing the end, and considering Clapton's physical condition after recovering from coronavirus infection, the set list was fixed to be as low-stress as possible after the tour resumed, but as it was the final performance of the tour, he must have had some emotions. What is in Clapton's mind as he enters the final chapter of his live career? The set list is orthodox, and there are no more surprise numbers. In addition, what is noticeable here is that there are many numbers that give solos to guitarist Doyle, organist Paul Carrack, and pianoist Chris Stinton. Instead of trying to decide on a thrilling killer solo by making full use of his own advanced technique as in the past, it is thought that he has come to intend to perform a performance that emphasizes the band ensemble, as his finger movements have slowed due to old age. Of course, he is conscious of playing the numbers that his fans want to hear, but it seems that Clapton himself is confident in his set list and is composed of songs that he wants to play. Still, it seems that the struggle with old age is tough, and each play is very careful so as not to make any mistakes. Listening to it, it seems that he is mindful of simple solos with a sense of song that highlight the original taste of the song. To put it in a metaphor, it could be said to be a George Harrison-like approach. Even so, Clapton is a live musician, so his primary reason is that he wants to perform live, but I can't help but think that there is a secondary reason for continuing to perform live even if it means organizing a "tour" that he has said he wanted to stop many times in the past. I think it is for the sake of his band members and tour staff. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, concerts could no longer be held, and the band members and tour staff lost their jobs for a long time. Apart from Clapton himself, who is wealthy, Clapton, the boss, was unable to guarantee their livelihood for many days. So now that the COVID-19 pandemic has calmed down and concerts are possible, I think Clapton is thinking of arranging tours as he did in the past and fulfilling his mission of guaranteeing their livelihood. That's why we're planning another American tour in September. It can be said that Clapton, who is in the final chapter of his live career, is working hard on this tour, including as a way of giving back to his band members and tour staff who have supported him so far. That's why he's trying to stand on stage even though his fingers are getting harder to move and he can't play his killer tunes. Please feel Clapton's spirit from this album. He completed his European tour with great success. Clapton did not cancel the tour even though he was infected with the coronavirus. This CD captures his heroic figure in a complete final performance recorded in the finest stereo audience recording.
