Currently, the professional shot video and sound source of this day are released as a half-official DVD & CD work of the European version, but this board uses a master of higher quality than that. Both the image quality and sound quality have been uniquely mastered, achieving a two-rank upgrade. Speaking of 1988, it was the year that marked the 25th anniversary of Clapton's debut, and a commemorative world tour was carried out. To celebrate this, Dire Straits' ally guitarist Mark Knopfler and keyboardist Alan Clarke participated as special guests, and the band was composed of a luxurious and skilled lineup that also employed the British leading percussionist Jody Linscott. The Tokyo Dome performance of the Japan tour that took place from October to November was also broadcast on satellite television at the time, but the songs were significantly cut and edited there, so this board still reigns as the representative work of this year's commemorative world tour. This time, we have generously selected this board, which was released a few years ago, as an item for the Clapton title all-at-once release week. Around this time, Clapton started to grow his hair out, got a stylish hairstyle, and wore suits to dress up his outfits. He had not yet quit smoking, and you can see him smoking on stage, which is one of the interesting points of the video. The set list is a good overview of Clapton's career, befitting his 25th anniversary, and includes a good balance of songs from his Cream days to his solo hits. Highlights include "Same Old Blues," in which each member takes a solo and performs a passionate 15-minute performance; "Cocaine," which shows an overwhelming groove after the introduction of the members on a funky instrumental; and "Layla," in which Knopfler plays the main theme phrase in his unique tone. There is also a feature on "Money For Nothing," which pays tribute to Knopfler, and this is the only video in which you can see Clapton and Linscott, who later replaces Ray Cooper, performing together. The masterpiece from the 1988 tour, full of highlights and highlights, is a must-see video worth watching even if you're not a Clapton fan.
