Eric Clapton's comeback tour, the best soundboard source from San Francisco's Cow Palace performance on July 21, 1974, is now available for the first time in a while. This edition has been produced directly from the master soundboard cassette that was obtained independently. This sound source is from our evening show, which was held twice in the day and night, and this monaural soundboard source first saw the light of day in the 90's with the title "Rollin' Man To The Crossroads". It had a slightly noticeable hissing sound quality. The hiss noise is greatly reduced by recording from the master cassette directly. In addition, the pitch that was questionable in the original master was completely corrected, and the dynamism of the overall sound was increased through unique mastering, making the sound quality even easier to listen to and more powerful. However, it is clear from the previously released disc that the original master seems to have had the PA out, and due to factors from the time of mastering, there is a momentary interruption at 0:20 of the opening section, and a plug is plugged in at 5:22 of "Let It Rain". A momentary bass noise that seems to be due to a poor contact, "Layla" is missing at 3:02, the sound cuts out due to a tape change at 9:23 after "Tell The Truth", and the encore "Little" The cut at 1:56 in "Queenie" is left as is. Still, the set list includes all songs, and since this is the first release of this sound source in a while, it has a quality that will be welcomed by Clapton enthusiasts. Clapton's play quality on this day was quite good, even though he survived the comeback tour while drunk, and in "Have You Ever Loved A Woman", which is played as a medley from "Blues Power" like in the Dominos era, In addition to the obbligato that runs parallel to the vocals, the solo in the middle can be said to be the pinnacle, and shows his true essence. Also, the fact that “Matchbox”, which was a very rare song selection, was suddenly played on this tour also increases the value of this day. It's great to hear Clapton bursting out with rockabilly phrases that he doesn't usually play. The entire album is filled with the "laid back" groove that he was embodying at the time, and the performance is relaxed yet energetic. Clapton himself frequently uses the words "thank you" and "wonderful", which suggests that he was satisfied with the stage. It's probably one of the standard sound sources that you won't regret having on the 1974 tour. From the popular Beano label, the long-awaited upgraded soundboard sound source version of the 1974 Cow Palace performance using the original cassette master is now available.
